"Do you think he’ll take away?" Sophie Wilson asked softly.
Charles Seymour paused for a mont and didn’t answer imdiately.
Sophie didn’t urge him, instead, she pulled over a chair and sat on it backward.
With her arms crossed on the back of the chair, supporting her chin, she quietly waited for Charles to hear his answer.
Charles looked up, steadily gazing at Sophie, and spoke with a calm and low voice, "Jas Reed has been sensible since he was young, Ethan Seymour really likes him."
"He works hard in his studies, excelling in all aspects at school. He’s played musical instrunts and is talented in sports."
"Studied finance and is Ethan Seymour’s right-hand man in the business arena."
"He has a great reputation in the circle."
"Young and promising, without being a playboy, all these years he’s only been with Ophelia Wilson."
Charles slowly spoke of Jas Reed’s virtues, while those eyes didn’t miss any change in Sophie’s expression.

As Sophie listed them one by one, Charles’s pupils gradually dimd.

Sophie chuckled, "Looks like I guessed right."
Sophie’s tone was very calm, her voice had no unusual quality, yet every word she spoke was so sharp.
Like a poison-dipped blade, stabbing fiercely into his heart.
Charles didn’t speak, he just steadily gazed at Sophie.
Inside, a tidal wave had long been surging, yet his face was as calm as ever.
Looking at Charles before her, Sophie laughed, as if she saw him from a previous life.
No matter what happened, he could use that icy facade to suppress all emotions.
"Is it strange?" Sophie raised an eyebrow, her voice elusive, like mountain mist everywhere yet ungraspable, "How could I know your thoughts so well?"
