Even though she was prepared, an intense chill swept up Sophie’s back.
The surrounding temperature plumted rapidly, and in the blink of an eye, it fell below freezing.
This was not the end; the chill continued to intensify. With Charles at the center, it seed as if a dark storm was brewing.
In this terrifying atmosphere, Sophie dared to provoke, "What? Am I wrong?"
The yet-to-form storm suddenly froze, like a clueless child who didn’t know what to do.
Despite his cold expression, with an aura like Asura crawling up from hell, Sophie saw the soft heart hidden beneath it.
Sophie sighed inwardly and gave up.
She initially planned to force the truth out of him, but in their past life, he would rather die than admit his feelings for her. It seems she really couldn’t be direct.
"To keep the experint subject in optimal condition, naturally, the subject needs to be in a good mood. You ca to pick up to cheer up, right?" Sophie gave the taciturn guy an out.
The cold, condensed air slowly began to warm, and the suffocatingly tense atmosphere gradually eased.
Charles let out a snort, "You’re smart."
Sophie sneered internally, thinking that not everyone is as dumb as him, right?
"So, why don’t you be my boyfriend?" As soon as Sophie finished speaking, the person opposite beca a complete statue.
"For you to have a perfect experint subject, I need to stay in a good mood. You pretend to be my ’boyfriend’ pretty well; I’m satisfied and in a great mood." Although Sophie had to look up at Charles, her words carried a sense of superiority.
"To keep happy, continue pretending so I feel like I’m in a relationship with you." Sophie said deliberately and bossily, "If you want a perfect experint subject, you’ll need to maintain my good mood."
Charles’s obsidian-like eyes flashed with a dark glint, "You an... to conduct my experints well, I need to be your boyfriend?"
"Exactly!" Sophie’s chin lifted arrogantly, "Mr. Charles Seymour, you better think this through. If anyone could be your experint subject, you wouldn’t be wasting ti on ."
"I need a boyfriend who treasures and loves , and you need a perfect experint subject. Don’t you think this is a good deal?"
Sophie’s unreasonable deanor left Charles silent. After a while, as if making a difficult decision, he nodded, "Alright."
"Deal!" Sophie laughed carelessly, "So, the new boyfriend Charles, should we celebrate with a KISS?"
Charles’s eyes ignited, as if a black fla was kindled, bursting with intensity, his voice hoarse, "If it makes you happy, as you wish."
Ah, this verbally reluctant but physically honest man.
However, knowing that soone has always been like this, Sophie let it slide.
She moved directly to him, wrapped her arms around his neck, boldly gave him a light peck on the lips, then pushed him out, "I need to change clothes and eat."
Charles, pushed out of the door, reached out, his face blank with the bewildernt of stepping off a cliff.
Is this called a KISS?
Isn’t a KISS supposed to be...
