Back ho, Kai Bright is in the living room watching sothing on his laptop, and Sophie Wilson greets him with a smile, "Cousin."
"Sophie, you’re back." Kai waves and smiles in greeting, "You tell , it’s so chaotic on site, and you still insisted I shouldn’t go. If I went, I could at least protect you a bit."
"It’s fine, with Mr. Seymour around, there’s no problem at all." Sophie blurted out, causing Kai to feel a little downhearted.
He was just concerned about his cousin, so why did he end up being fed a mouthful of dog food?
In a daze, Kai heard Sophie asking, "Cousin, what are you having for dinner?"
It imdiately snapped him out of it, and he quickly blurted out, "You cooking?"
"No, the chef is cooking." Sophie looked at Kai in confusion, then reacted and laughed, "Cousin, do you want to eat my cooking?"
"...Yeah, I want to!" Kai mustered all his skills to squeeze out a genuinely perfect smile, making such an insincere statent sound truthful.
"Unfortunately, my Mr. Seymour doesn’t let cook, afraid I’ll get tired." Sophie spread her hands regretfully and said helplessly, "Cousin, you might not get to eat it."
"Ah... such a pity." Kai looked at Sophie with a mournful face, thinking he could really venture into the entertainnt industry; he might even snatch an actor award.
"Actually, he wants to cook for ." Sophie pursed her lips and said.
"Great." Kai’s eyes lit up—it was definitely a possibility!
Charles Seymour’s cooking skills are truly unmatched.
"But he’s so busy every day and still wants to cook for . I feel for him, so the chef should just cook." Sophie said with a smile, missing the change in Kai’s expression, "Cousin, I’m heading upstairs first."
"...Okay." Kai silently clutched his chest, feeling so heart-stricken.
He’s just here to stay at his cousin and her husband’s house for a couple of days, not committing so heinous cri; do they really have to treat him like this?
Sophie was in a great mood, humming songs lightly.
Downstairs, Kai thought it over and decided to leave after dinner.
Even though the dishes here were delicious, being emotionally abused every day was really testing his endurance.
Kai went upstairs and, upon reaching Charles Seymour’s study door, found it slightly ajar, with Sophie’s voice coming from inside.

Hmm, maybe he shouldn’t go in.
As Kai turned to leave, Sophie’s words suddenly stopped him.
"...I finally understand why people like to show off. That feeling of sharing with others is really joyful." Sophie said cheerfully, her laughter like bouncing sunlight, "Sharing with cousin made even happier."
Charles Seymour’s indifferent voice carried a hint of laughter, "As long as you’re happy."
So, was Sophie’s little mischief earlier a deliberate act of flaunting affection in front of him?
Kai raised an eyebrow.
"But isn’t this a bit unfair to Cousin?" Sophie bit her lip, her conscience lightly teasing her as she asked Charles.
"What’s wrong with that?" Charles was utterly perplexed, "As long as you’re happy."
Outside, Kai: "..."
At dinner, Sophie looked in shock at Kai, who seed famished after three days and nights, wondering what was up with her cousin?
