Originally, Ethan Seymour married Charles Seymour’s mother because of Old Mr. Seymour; he has always been resentful about that arranged marriage.
Not to ntion, all these years, Old Mr. Seymour has always favored Charles Seymour, which only adds to Ethan Seymour’s anger.
If he’s going to sever ties, he must do it before Old Mr. Seymour finds out; otherwise, he might get stopped.
Jas Reed pushed things along a little, thoroughly stirring up Ethan Seymour’s years of discontent, making the severance of ties a definite decision.
Even if Old Mr. Seymour finds out, it would have already been published in the newspaper, and there’s no way to fix it.
Inside the villa, Charles Seymour had just walked upstairs when he saw Sophie Wilson standing in the hallway, sporting fluffy bunny slippers, with her head slightly tilted, smiling sweetly at him.
"You’re going to sever father-son ties and won’t be the young master of the Seymour Family anymore," Sophie Wilson pouted and asked Charles Seymour with a smile.
"Yeah." Charles Seymour nodded, showing no expression.
Sophie Wilson took two steps forward and jumped directly onto Charles Seymour’s back.
Charles Seymour bent slightly, lifting her up a bit.
"Don’t worry, I’ll take care of you!" The person on his back confidently patted his shoulder, with not-so-large hands but providing him with a full sense of security.
Charles Seymour’s eyes were filled with laughter, the coldness he showed when facing Ethan Seymour was long replaced by deep affection.
"What if Ethan Seymour targets your company?" Charles Seymour teased her deliberately.
"Hmph!" Sophie Wilson snorted nonchalantly, "Afraid of him? Can he really rule the world? If the company can’t run, I’ll sell it, and we’ll definitely have no problem enjoying life, then we can do so small business, or even go to a picturesque place and live in seclusion."
"Anyway, I have enough money for us to spend," Sophie Wilson said casually, "Worst cos to worst, I can always enter the entertainnt industry. If I can’t beco a major star, even being a bit player would be enough to support us."
Her indifferent words were actually filled with warmth that made Charles Seymour’s heart swell; this silly girl.
"Ah!" Sophie Wilson gave a startled cry, clinging tightly to Charles Seymour’s neck, surprised when he suddenly hefted her up, giving her a scare.
"I’ll rely on you to take care of from now on," Charles Seymour’s words made Sophie Wilson laugh happily, "Alright, alright!"
She’s very willing.
"Co on, sir, give the girl a smile." Sophie Wilson reached out, lifting Charles Seymour’s chin, smiling cheerfully like a wayward vagabond.
Charles Seymour was stunned, causing Sophie Wilson to burst into laughter; his dumbfounded look was truly rare, and just seeing his side profile made her feel he’s so cute.
Just as Sophie Wilson was going to change the subject, she saw Charles Seymour’s lips curve upwards and his eyes glimr as if myriad stars had fallen in them, so beautiful that they seed to draw her in.
"Girl, did the old man smile well enough?" Charles Seymour asked, his deliberately lowered voice hoarse and seductive enough to incite mischief.
"Enough, enough!" Sophie Wilson nodded repeatedly, covering her own scalding face with her hands, looking at him with starry eyes—this guy, this guy... how could he be so unfair?
Making her feel like she wants to do sothing "naughty" to him—can soone so handso just cheat like this?
