As soon as Sophie Wilson said this, the surroundings instantly fell silent.
Everyone was shocked.
What a joke, Eva is Edward Palr’s niece, and Sophie Wilson wants President Palr to dismiss his own niece?
"Sophie Wilson, are you okay?" Eva laughed out loud after a brief shock, looking at Sophie Wilson in disbelief, like she was looking at a lunatic, "You want my uncle to fire ? Even if I made a mistake, as long as my uncle is here, who would dare to fire ?"
"Eva!" Edward Palr shouted, breaking out in a cold sweat.
Is Eva out of her mind?
Saying this in front of the boss’s daughter—is she eager to let the boss know he’s playing favoritism and mixing personal matters with business?
"Uncle, she was the one bullying first!" Eva shrank back, but still blad Sophie Wilson, after all, she had her uncle backing her up, so why would she be afraid?
Sophie Wilson eyed Eva amusingly: "You’re comparing backgrounds with , huh?"
"So what if I am?" Eva puffed out her chest proudly, "Having a background ans you can do anything, if you don’t have one... you’d better keep your head down and behave!"
"Alright then." Sophie Wilson nodded in satisfaction, chuckled lightly, and looked at Edward Palr, tilting her head slightly in a teasing manner, "President Palr, if we’re talking about backgrounds, then process her dismissal now."
Upon hearing this, Eva burst into a mocking laughter: "Sophie Wilson, are you crazy? Don’t you understand human language, you’re competing with on background, you..."
"Catherine Carter, process Eva’s dismissal." Edward Palr’s words suddenly interrupted Eva’s arrogant ridicule, she turned incredulously to look at him, and asked in shock, "Uncle, are you mistaken? Isn’t it supposed to be Sophie Wilson getting dismissed, not ?"
Edward Palr was almost exasperated by Eva’s foolishness: "Our company’s boss’s last na is Wilson!"
Edward Palr’s words were like a thunderclap exploding in Eva’s mind, leaving her dizzy and stamring as she pointed at Sophie Wilson: "She, she..."
"Unfortunately, I happen to be his youngest daughter." Sophie Wilson smiled calmly, "When it cos to background, you lost."
"I, I..." Eva was instantly petrified, feeling as though all the blood in her body had been drained, her hands and feet turning cold, without a trace of warmth.
The surrounding colleagues took a sharp breath, looking at the normally unassuming Sophie Wilson with complicated expressions.
Who could have imagined that Sophie Wilson, whom they worked with for more than a year, was actually the boss’s daughter—wasn’t this just too surreal?
"Sister Carter, what are you waiting for?" Sophie Wilson glanced at Catherine Carter, who always targeted her to curry favor with Eva; that look sent a shiver down Catherine’s spine, and she quickly responded, "I’m on it."
"Uncle..." All of Eva’s arrogance was slapped away, and she looked pitifully at Edward Palr.
Edward Palr shook his head, freeing his arm from Eva’s grasp.
"President Palr, I happen to have so business to report to you." Sophie Wilson, as if nothing had happened, walked past the dumbfounded Eva and entered Edward Palr’s office with him.
The sound of the door closing startled Eva, nearly making her jump out of her skin; she ignored her colleagues’ gloating eyes and rushed up to Lucas Payten, grabbing him and bursting into tears: "Lucas, Lucas, you have to help !"
