"These dates..." Old Mr. Seymour was about to explain when Old Mrs. Seymour secretly pulled him back, making him change his words at the last second, "Are you satisfied?"
"Satisfied, of course I am!" Ethan Seymour was initially unhappy with his father supporting Charles, but seeing this now, it seed his father still wanted to reconcile with him.
Usually, wasn’t his father the one who disliked Jas the most?
Now, even the engagent date had been chosen for Jas.
He thought so; after all, they were one family. How could there be any overnight grudges?
Besides, Jas was so sensible and filial, a much better kid than the always grim-faced Charles.
"What are you doing here?" Old Mr. Seymour was starting to show more favor towards this son, who had been troubleso since young. He had been beaten and scolded before, yet sohow ended up so off-track.
He originally thought marrying him to a virtuous wife would settle him down, but who knew... in the end, it even hard his grandson.
He truly was cursed.
"I ca to discuss Jas’s engagent with you two elders." Ethan Seymour said with a smile, "Who would’ve thought, before I even spoke, you two had already picked the date."
"Jas is your son, but is Charles not your son too?" Old Mr. Seymour frowned and asked angrily.
"Dad, you can’t bla for this. All these years, he ignored . Should I, as his father, beg him?" Hearing Charles’s na made Ethan Seymour uncomfortable, as that bastard was his nesis, only giving him trouble and nothing else.
Old Mr. Seymour looked deeply at Ethan Seymour. He never understood his son from childhood to adulthood.
He even quietly checked the DNA, fearing there had been a mix-up, otherwise, why was his son’s personality so unlike theirs?
To no avail, the DNA confird he was indeed their biological son.
"Alright, if there’s nothing else, just go back." Old Mr. Seymour said wearily, "I’m old and like it quiet, so don’t co over without a reason."
Ethan Seymour understood imdiately: "Dad, you’re still not satisfied with that little..."
Old Mr. Seymour glared at him, forcing the words "bastard" back down Ethan Seymour’s throat.
"I’ve cut ties with that kid." Ethan Seymour scowled and said, "Dad, you don’t know how horrible he is."
"His behavior has nothing to do with you. All these years, have you ever cared about Charles?" Old Mr. Seymour questioned.
Ethan Seymour paused but then had plenty of reasons: "He never saw as his dad, treated like an enemy."
"Dad, you really can’t spoil him like this." Ethan Seymour pleaded, "Did you and mom see the drama on the internet a few days ago? Look at what he did with the money you gave him."
"Supporting his girlfriend online and dragging Jas’s fiancée into it, what’s his intention?" Ethan Seymour fud just thinking about it.
He didn’t understand much about online matters, but could anyone wield such control over public opinion and have so much evidence without financial backing?
Wasn’t it all because his father was backing that brat?
"What’s wrong with Charles defending his own woman? Unlike you, finding a mistress to anger the lawful wife to death?" The re ntion of this ignited Old Mr. Seymour’s fury.
Ethan Seymour still had the nerve to speak!
