Compared to Ethan and the others being so joyful, Old Mr. Seymour was puzzled and asked Old Mrs. Seymour, "Why did you stop from saying that earlier? That date is chosen for Charles."
"Why say so much to him?" Old Mrs. Seymour had long decided she no longer had a son like Ethan. After living this long, what can’t she look past?

"Hand the phone. I’ll tell Charles to get ready soon," Old Mrs. Seymour said, reaching out her hand.
Old Mr. Seymour quickly took the phone, dialed the number, and then handed it to his wife.
"Grandma?" Charles Seymour answered the phone, asking puzzledly.
"Charles, your grandpa and I have picked a date, but it’s a bit rushed. The ti is..."
"The day after tomorrow, right? That’s doable," Charles interrupted, leaving Old Mrs. Seymour speechless for a mont.
Hearing the silence on the phone, Charles realized with so disappointnt: "It’s not the day after tomorrow, so when is it?"
"How could it be the day after tomorrow? You cheeky boy, how can the engagent be so hasty? Would your grandpa and I handle things so carelessly?" Old Mrs. Seymour joked and scolded, "Even if you want to settle it quickly, don’t be so rushed."
"Got it." Charles replied sullenly after being "scolded" by Old Mrs. Seymour.
Actually, suggesting the day after tomorrow was already him being restrained; he wanted to say tomorrow originally.
"Is there anything your grandpa and I need to prepare?" Old Mrs. Seymour asked with a laugh, wondering how her usually cold and distant grandson could et soone that made him so eager.
"No need, I’ll prepare everything." Charles said.
"Isn’t your company busy at the end of the year?" Old Mrs. Seymour felt a bit sorry for her grandson. After all, everything about the engagent looked small, but it’s tedious and requires a lot of effort.
"The company has employees." Charles responded, easily shifting all responsibilities away from himself, "They’re paid handsoly to work."
At this mont, Jim Perry, who was working overti at the company, sneezed suddenly and rubbed his nose, looking at the piles of docunts on his desk and contemplating whether he should see a doctor when he got ho. He couldn’t afford to get sick, or how would he handle all this work?

After Charles finished the call with Old Mrs. Seymour, he quickly made several phone calls, notifying about the engagent date and ensuring everything necessary was prepared beforehand.
Having arranged everything, Charles finally breathed a sigh of relief—he was finally getting engaged.
Then, at dinner, Sophie Wilson could noticeably feel soone was in a good mood and looked at him curiously, "What’s up? So happy?"
"Grandpa and Grandma have set our engagent date." Charles said with a smile, "You don’t need to do anything, just show up that day."
"The way you say it, why do I sound like I’m just hanging around?" Sophie asked amusedly.
"With here, you naturally don’t need to worry about these trivial matters." Charles didn’t find it wrong at all. For his woman, isn’t that how it should be?
