Now reading: Chapter 423: Very Important? from Rebirth: Clinging to My Possessive Magnate, a Romance novel by Yue Yi Ming.

"Mm." Charles Seymour nodded, his face showing no hint of pride or arrogance, just a simple acknowledgnt of the fact.

The calr Charles was, the harder it was for Mason Wilson to stay calm.

So... all this ti, the Jim Perry that Jas Reed kept trying to cozy up to was actually Charles Seymour’s subordinate?

So, the person Jas Reed couldn’t stand and kept plotting against was the very person he desperately wanted to impress?

"Give a mont to calm down." Mason Wilson clutched his head which was throbbing slightly, and murmured.

Charles Seymour looked at Mason Wilson in confusion, not understanding what was wrong with his future father-in-law.

"Are you feeling unwell?" Charles asked with a hint of concern.

After all, this was Sophie’s father; if sothing really happened, he wouldn’t be able to face Sophie.

"Headache, chest ache..." There was no one else in the office, so Mason, thinking it was embarrassing, let it go; they were all family anyway, he didn’t care.

Charles stood up suddenly: "There’s a doctor in the company."

"No need." Mason waved his hand, "I’m just scared, I’ll feel better after a while."

Mason looked up and saw Charles’s bewildered expression, which inexplicably made him feel a bit upset.

What’s the scariest thing?

Frightening others without realizing it!

Mason picked up his teacup and drank it all in one go, making Charles really believe his future father-in-law was truly frightened.

But... he thought about it for quite a while but couldn’t figure out any terrifying thing they’d encountered along the way.

"Peace Group is yours; why didn’t you say so earlier?" Mason asked.

Charles looked at him puzzled and asked, "Is this thing... very important?"

Mason: "..."

Isn’t it important?

"Does Sophie know?" Mason asked.

"Sophie generally doesn’t bother with such trivial matters," Charles said.

Mason: "..."

Trivial matters?

"Does Old Mr. Seymour know you’re the... owner of Peace Group?" Mason asked again.

"I’ve told my grandfather I’ve started a company." Charles answered quite honestly, answering whatever was asked.

Mason: "..."

Does Old Mr. Seymour also think, like him, that the company Charles ntioned is just so small-ti operation?

Darn it!

Normally, people wouldn’t associate the company Charles talks about with Peace Group, right?

"Why would your company still need to co to work?" Mason asked.

He really wished he could go back a few days and give himself, who was eagerly planning to help Charles’s company, contemplating its developnt, a few slaps in the face.

That self was too naive!

Does Peace Group’s developnt route need him to plan?

"It does." Charles nodded and said, "Jim Perry is overwheld, others we’ve hired aren’t easy to work with."

"We’ve already tried quite a few people, none managed to handle the company’s business." Charles was actually a bit worried too.

"Peace Group’s business isn’t sothing easy to manage," Mason said with a laugh to Charles. How could a general manager command such a massive ship?

"Did you never think of cultivating more useful subordinates before?" Mason asked curiously, "As a company expands, it needs more manpower, especially good managers who are even more scarce."

"When I used to manage it myself, I never felt the lack of people." Charles’s honest words made Mason’s smile freeze, "Later, after eting Sophie, I stopped managing, and Jim Perry felt the shortage of hands."
