The tears she had been holding back suddenly flowed uncontrollably.
She covered her mouth with one hand, suppressing the sobs.
But the faint whimpering leaked out and traveled clearly through the phone, reaching Charles Seymour’s ears, making his eyebrows knit into a tight knot.
He rushed towards Sophie Wilson with large strides, his face dark as he coldly and urgently asked, "What’s wrong?"
In the next second, the soft body that leapt into his embrace made his body stiffen and his mind go blank.
The sound of crying from the person in his arms, and the tears soaking through his shirt and burning into his heart, deeply scorched him: "Who bullied you?"

As Sophie Wilson looked up from his embrace, she saw soone’s face, full of murderous intent suddenly turn bewildered. The fierce yet cute expression made her burst into laughter.
Seeing Sophie Wilson whose face still bore tears yet smiled so radiantly, Charles Seymour was truly baffled, completely unable to comprehend the situation.
"Who told you to be so nice to ? Can’t I be moved?" Sophie’s unreasonable words instead made Charles discreetly breathe a sigh of relief.
So she wasn’t bullied after all.
After crying enough, the grievance in her heart dissipated. It’s just, her tears seed to have sared onto his clothes, which was a bit awkward.
However, the person involved seed to sense nothing, his gaze towards her was profound, and it seed like there was even a glimring light passing through — seemingly, he was in a good mood.
"Let’s go back." Charles naturally took hold of Sophie’s hand, leading her to the side, and soon they saw the car parked by the roadside.

"Why haven’t you gone back yet?" Sophie asked curiously.

"Not talking to you, going ho." Sophie shook off Charles’ hand and got into the car.

Charles pondered these two words and suddenly realized the aning conveyed by them together... were quite nice.
Suppressing the corners of his mouth that wanted to curl up, Charles kept a cold face as he opened the car door and got in.
Seated in the car, Sophie seed to mutter to herself, "I just don’t get it, we’re both daughters, why does my mom dislike so much?"
"Whatever my sister does is right, and everything good goes to her, while I feel like a lowly servant."
