"Really?" Chaya Davis was clearly ecstatic but tried hard to control herself and not laugh excessively.
After picking out the jewelry, Chaya Davis left happily with Ophelia Wilson. After walking a short distance, Chaya exclaid, "Oh no, I left my gloves in the store."
"I’ll go back with Mom to get them," Ophelia suggested.
"No need, you go wait for in the car." Chaya, who had just bought a set of jewelry, was elated. How could she let her precious daughter follow her back again?
"Alright then." Ophelia nodded and didn’t insist, being a celebrity, after all, and this is a high-end mall where people are used to seeing celebrities and won’t gather around her.
However, they had already reached the parking lot, and from here, there were other people around.
Chaya was in high spirits, her steps almost bouncing lightly.
As she reached the store entrance and was about to enter, she overheard the sales clerks inside chuckling, "...Yeah, that person is Ophelia Wilson’s mom? That’s really funny."

"Didn’t you hear Ophelia say she will support herself in the future and not spend her husband’s money?"
"Is she really supporting herself or just unable to spend it?"
The sales clerks laughed out loud.
"Look how dedicated Sophie was when she was filming, unlike Ophelia... tut tut tut... always using a stunt double, yet claiming she worked so hard for her roles... such hypocrisy, it’s disgusting."
"Wasn’t she just secretly mocking Sophie earlier? Just like her mom, blatantly stealing what’s not theirs and still being so high-profile, really... there are all kinds of people."
Outside the store, Chaya was so furious that her fists were clenched tightly, but she held back her rage and quietly left.
Now was not the ti to cause a scene, she had to ensure that Ophelia’s engagent went off without a hitch.
She would endure for now, but never visit this place again!
Chaya walked faster and faster towards the parking lot, almost breaking into a run.
She swiftly opened the car door and got into the car.
Ophelia looked at her, panting for breath with surprise, and asked puzzled, "Mom, why were you running?"
"I was just worried you’d be waiting too long." Chaya explained with a smile.
"Did you get the gloves?" Ophelia asked.
"Hmm, maybe I didn’t leave them at that store. I forgot where I misplaced them." Chaya shook her head and said, "Forget it, they’re not worth much anyway, let them be."
Ophelia felt Chaya was acting a bit odd but didn’t say much, letting the driver take them as they continued to handle engagent matters.
As for Sophie Wilson, she completely dismissed the encounter with Chaya, continuing her leisurely life.
Sophie might not care, but Clarissa Taylor couldn’t let it go.
When Mason Wilson returned in the evening, Clarissa told him about the day’s events, "...Ophelia was really out of line. All these years, we’ve been kind to her for nothing."
To actually mock Sophie, Ophelia really had the nerve, how could she do that?
