"We..." Old Mr. Seymour started to speak with hesitation, had they walked into the wrong banquet hall?
"We’ve been waiting for you two, please take a seat!" The man greeted Old Mr. Seymour and Old Mrs. Seymour warmly.
Listening to this, Old Mr. Seymour felt that maybe they hadn’t gone to the wrong place after all?
If they really went to the wrong place, the person at the entrance wouldn’t have let them in; but, these people... why were they appearing at their grandson’s engagent party?
"We’re really sorry, we as the hosts arrived late." After all, Old Mr. Seymour was soone who had seen the world; the shock rely caused him a temporary lapse in composure, but now his face had returned to normal.
As for whether his heart was still trembling with shock... ahem, this matter could be ignored for now.
At least on the outside, Old Mr. Seymour appeared calm.
"Not late at all, we’re the early ones." As soon as he said this, all the other guests laughed as if they very much agreed with him, "Besides, we wanted to et Charles and Sophie early."
Old Mr. Seymour and Old Mrs. Seymour exchanged glances, their shock doubling.
Why did this person’s tone sound so familiar, as if they were very close with Charles and Sophie, like old friends or sothing?
Which one of their Charles and Sophie knew these important figures?
Anyway, Old Mr. Seymour and Old Mrs. Seymour were sowhat bewildered as they were led to the main seats.
On the other hand, Jas Reed saw Ethan Seymour returning alone and nervously asked, "Dad, where are Grandpa and Grandma? Are they... still on the way?"
He was really worried that the Seymour Family might attend Charles Seymour’s engagent party instead of his.
If that happened, he would really lose face.
"No, they’ve already arrived." Ethan Seymour said with a smile.
Upon hearing this, Jas Reed felt relieved: "Where are Grandpa and Grandma? I should arrange sothing, let them rest first."
"Oh, they didn’t co over here." Ethan Seymour’s words made Jas Reed’s expression freeze, looking at him confused, asking, "Dad, didn’t you just say Grandpa and Grandma had arrived?"
"They did, but... they have a more important banquet to attend." Ethan Seymour said this with an even broader smile.
Upon hearing this, Jas Reed’s face grew dim, trying hard to maintain a smile, saying, "Indeed, big brother’s engagent banquet is a bit more important."
Ethan Seymour looked at Jas Reed with a smile, scolding, "What are you thinking? Your grandparents are attending a banquet at the Imperial Hotel too, but it’s on the ninth floor."
Jas Reed’s eyes brightened suddenly: "The ninth floor?"
If it’s the ninth floor, it definitely couldn’t be Charles Seymour’s engagent party.
"Yes." ntioning this, Ethan Seymour felt proud; having his parents attend a ninth-floor banquet made him feel prestigious too, "Unfortunately, it’s quite strict there, one invitation per person, no entry without it. I originally wanted to take you over to greet the hosts."
Hearing how considerate Ethan Seymour was for him, Jas Reed was naturally happy, and smiled, "Dad, that’s normal, such a banquet wouldn’t be easily accessible."
"Well, since your grandpa has a connection over there, I’ll take you to his house more often, and eventually, you’ll get in." Ethan Seymour had already thought about how to pave the way for Jas Reed in the future.
