As soon as Ethan Seymour spoke, Jas Reed’s heart tightened, and he silently cursed, "Damn!"
Ethan, extrely angry, had long forgotten Jas Reed’s thousand cautions and instructions on the way there. Now, his discontent occupied his mind.
"For the company, I’ve even gone to his house to ask him. Not only does he not appreciate it, but he humiliates . Dad, what exactly do you want to do? Am I to kneel to him?" Ethan angrily questioned, "As part of the Seymour Family, isn’t he supposed to contribute to it?"
"Does he just enjoy the dividends and do nothing?" Ethan beca increasingly agitated, "Jas works hard for the Seymour Corporation, and I don’t understand, Dad, why do you insist on favoring that idle Charles Seymour, while ignoring Jas’s efforts!"
Faced with Ethan Seymour’s resentful questioning, Old Mr. Seymour found that he was not the least bit inclined to be angry.
He genuinely wasn’t angry; why get angry with such a muddle-headed fool as Ethan Seymour?
Old Mr. Seymour wasn’t just not angry, he even laughed, saying to Ethan: "If your son doesn’t want to work at the Seymour Corporation, he’s welco not to. No one is begging him."
Jas Reed’s face froze upon hearing this, silently cursing in his heart, "The old man really doesn’t want him to have any of the Seymour Family’s benefits at all."
"Dad, do you have to treat Jas like this..." Ethan was cut off by Old Mr. Seymour who let out a cold laugh and said, "Let tell you, you can’t co here trying to persuade to convince Charles to jump into your pit of fire."
"How is this a pit of fire?" As soon as Ethan heard this, he was displeased. What did the old man an?
"You know very well yourself. Can you guarantee that, after Charles represents the company in negotiations with the Peace Group, you’ll fully nurture him?" Old Mr. Seymour coldly questioned.
"Of course, I can guarantee!" Ethan blurted out without thinking.
Old Mr. Seymour chuckled coldly, "Your guarantees hold no credibility with ."
"How few things have you guaranteed before ? Which one have you actually accomplished?" Old Mr. Seymour didn’t believe Ethan’s words at all, pointed at the door, and decisively threw two words at him: "Get out!"
"Dad, you..."
"Out!" Old Mr. Seymour didn’t even listen to Ethan’s explanation, directly throwing them out.
So, in the end, Ethan and Jas Reed were driven out by Old Mr. Seymour, their roundabout tactics completely ineffective.
In the car, Ethan angrily cursed, "It must be that little bastard and that little bitch’s doing!"
Otherwise, why would the old man scold him as soon as he saw him?
Isn’t it those two bastards badmouthing him behind his back?
Jas Reed looked at Ethan irritably, truly a guy who accomplishes less and fails more.
After all he said on the way there, did he treat it all like nonsense?
He had repeatedly instructed him not to lose his temper, to speak calmly, to lower himself, always considering Charles Seymour, and in the end?
They ended up arguing directly.
Not only did they fail to accomplish anything, but he also received a scolding, truly unlucky.
"Dad, we must get this done, otherwise it won’t be easy to explain to the shareholders." Jas Reed suppressed his inner irritation and impatience with Ethan, trying his best to persuade calmly.
