The people from Clark Corporation all had radiant faces, clearly sothing good or happy had happened...
So... the crowd stiffly turned their heads back, their inquiring gazes falling on Jas Reed’s face, hoping to glean so insight from his expression.
"Jas Reed, could it be that you didn’t get the cooperation with Peace Corporation?" Erie was always the most straightforward, shouting out the question everyone had in mind.
Jas Reed’s face imdiately turned black, wishing he could slap Erie dead.
This idiot!
"Hmm." Jas squeezed a word out through gritted teeth.
As soon as the word was out, Jas imdiately felt the surrounding people’s gazes change from admiration and flattery to disdain and contempt, stabbing into him like steel needles.
"What’s going on?" Ethan Seymour was so shocked, it was as if he’d fallen into an ice cave, his whole body turning ice cold.
Jas bit his teeth and said nothing.
"Jas, speak up." Charlotte Reed, unable to bear her son’s distress, asked, trying to find excuses for him, "Which part went wrong?"
Jas still did not speak, the muscles of his entire body tightened, clearly enduring sothing.
The guests looked at each other in dismay, wondering why they had left their work at noon to co here.
Now Erie was anxious too, was Jas mute?
So many people were asking him, and he said nothing, what was he trying to do?
"Jas Reed, why don’t you speak? Why didn’t you secure the cooperation?" Erie questioned with a very unpleasant tone.
This sentence seed to press a switch, finally getting a reaction from Jas. He looked up, his dark eyes eerily staring at Erie, scaring her into involuntarily stepping back, straight into Benjamin Walton’s arms.
With Benjamin Walton there, Erie wasn’t afraid. She frowned and asked, "Why are you looking at like that? Everyone’s waiting for you."
"Why didn’t it succeed?" Jas Reed laughed coldly, full of iciness and sarcasm, "You should ask the Wilson Clan."
"What does it have to do with us?" Erie angrily questioned, "Don’t push the bla just because you’re incompetent!"
", push the bla?" Jas Reed’s gaze swept over several people from the Wilson Clan, and he coldly said, "Do you know who the project leader of Peace Corporation is?"
Old Mrs. Wilson felt a jolt in his heart, a bad thought suddenly surfaced, no way...
"Could it be... Sophie?" Ophelia Wilson exclaid in shock, covering her mouth unbelievably.
All the surrounding guests were shocked, Sophie Wilson?
Sophie Wilson is the project leader for Peace Corporation?
If that’s the case, Sophie targeting Seymour Corporation would make sense.
But... it didn’t quite add up.
Wasn’t Sophie running a decorating company?
Since when did she get tied up with Peace Corporation?
"Jas, if it’s Sophie, I’ll go talk to her..." Ophelia Wilson said uncomfortably, "It’s all because of that Sophie deliberately targeted you. I’ll go apologize to her."
Saying this, Ophelia’s eyes reddened, "I should never have stayed with the Wilson Clan back then, shouldn’t have been reluctant to leave my grandparents, I should have left early. It’s all my fault."
Upon hearing this, Chaya Davis wouldn’t stand for it. Why put all the bla on her daughter?
If this caused Jas Reed to dislike Ophelia, how would Ophelia marry him?
