Old Man Wilson frowned deeply and didn’t say a word.
Because he thought far more than Old Mrs. Wilson and Erie.
The area where Peace Group is located is a bustling district, besides Peace Group, there are other companies, and those coming and going are all people from the business world.
The words Sophie Wilson said were clearly ant to tell everyone in the Imperial City’s business circle that the Wilson Clan had no sha, and upon knowing that Charles Seymour was the chairman of Peace Group, they wanted to curry favor with him!
Old Man Wilson didn’t need to think to know that many people in the business world must already be aware of the news, and he had no way to stop it from spreading.
Old Man Wilson clutched his chest in discomfort and suddenly collapsed onto the sofa.
"What happened to you?" Old Mrs. Wilson exclaid, her face turning pale with fright.
"Dad!" Erie Wilson was even more panicked, not knowing what to do.
"Hurry, take him to the hospital." Benjamin Walton was the calst, quickly carrying Old Man Wilson on his back while having Erie open the door.
Old Man Wilson experienced a sudden increase in blood pressure and his heart was stimulated, unable to bear it for a mont, which caused him to faint.
After resuscitation at the hospital, he soon escaped danger, but due to concerns of a relapse, he needed to be hospitalized for observation.
After a busy spell, Old Man Wilson’s condition finally stabilized.
Old Mrs. Wilson looked at the still-weeping Erie and sighed, saying to her, "Erie, you and Benjamin should go ho."
"Mom, I can’t stop worrying about Dad," Erie choked out.
"It’s alright, the doctor said your father is stable now and will be fine. You should go ho first, your health isn’t good either, don’t exhaust yourself." Old Mrs. Wilson advised.
She suddenly felt really tired; not only was her daughter unable to help, but her constant crying here only made her more irritable, and even her husband couldn’t rest well.
"Benjamin, take Erie with you." Old Mrs. Wilson fixed her gaze on Benjamin Walton, as only he could persuade Erie at this point.
"Alright, Mom, I’ll take Erie ho then." Benjamin agreed, "If you need anything, call ."
"Alright." Old Mrs. Wilson sighed softly.
Physically, she wasn’t truly tired.
With nurses and housekeepers around, she didn’t have to do anything, but she was emotionally drained.
Looking at Old Man Wilson, who had fallen asleep after a fluid infusion, Old Mrs. Wilson felt exhausted and lay down on the bed beside him to rest for a while.
After Benjamin Walton drove Erie ho and coaxed her into taking a nap, he went to Old Mr. Walton’s study.
"How did it go?" Old Mr. Walton anxiously inquired.
"No success." Benjamin Walton shook his head, "Sophie Wilson is a tough nut."
After explaining the situation, Old Mr. Walton was also troubled: "Don’t the two elders from the Wilson family have any strategy? They only know to send Erie to talk?"
Benjamin thought for a mont and said, "I think Old Man Wilson definitely wants Sophie Wilson to co back."
"Sophie Wilson would co back? Ophelia Wilson is still living with the Wilson Clan. It would be surprising if Sophie would return," Old Mr. Walton laughed, "That Ophelia Wilson is no simple character; she said such things at the New Year’s concert that forced Old Man Wilson to take her back."
"Ophelia Wilson is genuinely looking out for Jas Reed, clinging tightly to the Wilson Clan without letting go." At Old Mr. Walton’s age, there’s nothing he doesn’t understand.
His family’s wealth might not match that of the Wilson or Seymour families, but he sees things clearly.
