"That’s wonderful." Charles Seymour pulled her into his arms, their body warmth passing through to his heart, "I’m very happy."
"I’m happy too!" Sophie Wilson rubbed back and forth in soone’s arms to express her overflowing joy, the happiness of winning this ti.

"Miss Cole, Miss Cole... Wait a minute." Jas Reed finally caught up with the angrily striding Hayley Cole, quickly blocking her path.
"What? Are you here to laugh at too? To laugh at my overestimation of myself!" Hayley Cole felt her entire face burning, as if she’d been repeatedly slapped by Sophie Wilson.
So embarrassing!
She had never been so embarrassed before!
"No, it’s not that." Jas Reed said sincerely, "I’ve co to thank you. No one has ever defended like that, stood up for and spoke on my behalf. Thank you."
Jas Reed’s words were earnest, and the sincere gratitude in his eyes hit Hayley Cole’s heart hard, as if sothing exploded in her mind, causing her heart to shiver.
The thick icy armor protecting her over the years was shaken, showing fine cracks.
"But this was originally my fault, I implicated you, making you embarrassed." Jas Reed said apologetically, though he was smiling, the bitterness in that smile was heart-wrenching.
"It’s not your fault." Hayley Cole’s voice was slightly hoarse due to her intense emotions, she coughed lightly, and quickly said, "This is not your fault at all."
Jas Reed was stunned, looking at Hayley Cole in surprise, as if it was the first ti soone had ever told him none of it was his fault.
Looking at the startled Jas Reed, Hayley Cole wasn’t sure if she was speaking to him or to herself: "That’s all the previous generation’s business, why should it be placed on you, making you bear all the responsibility? It’s simply unfair to you!"
"I..." Jas Reed looked at Hayley Cole with an imbecilic expression, his eyes full of emotion that seed ready to spill over with tears.
