"In the past, Ophelia Wilson’s various assignnts have been smooth sailing, but now, isn’t it odd that she failed to secure the perfu endorsent she cared about the most?" Sophie Wilson said. "Oh, every celebrity in the entertainnt circle who’s qualified wants this endorsent; this is well-known online."
"Albert Fletcher didn’t secure it for Ophelia, while Jas Reed suddenly began investigating the luxury brand’s director and simultaneously dating Ophelia... If you connect these things, doesn’t it all make sense? Why go through the intricate process of surveillance?"
Sophie Wilson looked at Kai Bright in confusion.
Kai Bright: "..."
Why, when faced with her innocent eyes, did he have an urge to bang his head against the wall in despair?
Is it his intelligence that’s lacking, or are the two sitting opposite him not human?
Would a normal person make such connections?
And so many of them?
"Ophelia wouldn’t really go down that path." After recovering from shock, Kai Bright quickly regained his composure. Following Sophie’s logic, he suddenly figured sothing out. "Could it be that their encounter with Hayley Cole wasn’t a coincidence, but rather orchestrated by Jas Reed?"
"Exactly." Sophie nodded, with a look that suggested Kai was finally learning, making him grit his teeth in frustration. "Imagine Ophelia suddenly realizing her status as the Wilson Clan’s daughter is at risk, her future husband’s position is unstable, and that he might be snatched away by another woman. Wouldn’t she try another approach to succeed?"
Sophie smiled slyly at Kai Bright, leaving him speechless, and after a long pause, he sighed, "It’s terrifying, the way they sche and fight, being both the planners and the pawns, truly terrifying."
"It’s not that bad." Sophie poked Charles Seymour and asked quietly, "Does my cousin have a lot of endurance for missions?"
"Yes." Charles nodded. "His physical condition is very good."
"I thought missions would require brains too." Sophie marveled.
"That’s for the insiders, which he hasn’t done. For other professional aspects, a normal level of intelligence is sufficient." Charles comnted objectively.
"Oh, I see." Sophie nodded in sudden understanding.
"Hey... you two, am I invisible?" Kai Bright had to remind the two, he was still standing here, and they were talking right in front of him, claiming he had no brains. Is that really okay?
"Who says I don’t need brains for missions?" Kai Bright said angrily. "I am the leader inside, the main assault officer, understand? Main assault! Main assault!"
Seeing Kai Bright’s exasperated state, Sophie nodded repeatedly and said, "Yes yes, main assault, main assault."
Is her cousin genuinely an idiot or pretending to be one? Leading an assault doesn’t necessarily an using brains, right?
Why does he feel no comfort at all?
Kai Bright felt suffocated.
"Isn’t Ophelia Wilson done for this ti?" Kai Bright decided not to argue with the two boring individuals and continued to ask.
"Well, it depends on Ophelia Wilson’s own choice." Sophie grabbed Charles Seymour’s hand and played with his distinctly jointed fingers. "No one is forcing her, she can totally reject the endorsent."
Kai Bright laughed helplessly and shook his head. "With things having reached this point, given her character, she likely will go for it."
"Ninety percent chance," Sophie thought for a mont and said, "Otherwise, Albert Fletcher wouldn’t make such a move."
