Finally managing to appease soone, Sophie Wilson planned to go back to her room to surf the web before heading to bed.
She was only halfway there when Kai Bright mysteriously called her over, leading her into his room, asking, "Bro, are you doing sothing shady?"
He shut the door, even looking around cautiously before doing so, as if afraid of being seen.
Sophie deeply suspected, with Kai Bright’s flaky personality, could he really handle missions without issues?
"How am I doing sothing shady?" Kai huffed, rolling his eyes at Sophie, clearly using his eyes to accuse her of being a little ingrate, "I just found out what Jas Reed bought for Old Mr. Seymour."
"A painting?" Sophie scratched her head, asking, "Is it worth a lot?"
"The price is definitely not low, but more importantly, Old Mr. Seymour has always loved that artist’s work and has collected quite a few pieces at ho," Kai explained, "This is really catering to his liking."
"Old Mr. Seymour has always liked collecting antiques and jade," Kai sighed, "I have to say, Jas has put a lot of effort into this."
"That painting of his was specially requested; he had to ask soone to part with it."
Sophie frowned, muttering, "This guy just wants to outshine my Mr. Seymour."
"No way, no way, no way!" Sophie grabbed her silky long hair and turned it into a ss, "I have to find a way to stop him."
"Bro, tell , what can overshadow Jas Reed?" Sophie asked Kai anxiously, damn it, how could she allow her Mr. Seymour to be overshadowed by Jas?
"How about you buy ’Miss’?" Kai joked, only to receive a look from Sophie as if he were an idiot, prompting him to quickly raise his hands in surrender, smiling apologetically, "I was wrong, I was wrong, pretend I didn’t say anything."
"In terms of antique paintings, Old Mr. Seymour really does favor that; Jas Reed truly hit the mark. As for jade pieces... well, standout ones are quite rare. Maybe we should consider a surprise approach?" Kai patted his head, struggling to think of a good idea.
The key is, he’s never really put this much effort into gifting anyone.
"Let’s think it over, we still have ti," Kai consoled, seemingly seeing Sophie so troubled for the first ti, as she genuinely cared about matters concerning Charles Seymour.
"Yeah, yeah." Sophie nodded, contemplating heading back to her room, while Kai imdiately dialed a number, and as soon as it connected, he began to wail, "Lucy, save ..."
Lucy Wells was startled, anxiously asking, "What happened? What’s wrong with you?"
Kai, upon hearing Lucy’s concern, was delighted to the point where his tail almost curled up, yet his voice remained listless, "I’m fine, but Sophie has a bit of a problem..."
