Jas Reed didn’t say much, and just quietly drove Ophelia Wilson ho, but Ophelia could clearly feel Jas’s affection for her.
After watching Jas drive away, Ophelia finally entered the house with a joyous mood.
"Ophelia, back already?" Chaya Davis had evidently been waiting for Ophelia and quickly went over to welco her as soon as she entered.
Old Mrs. Wilson and Old Mrs. Wilson were also waiting in the living room. Naturally, they were more reserved than Chaya Davis and didn’t rush to welco her, but their expectant eyes showed they cared a lot about this birthday celebration of Old Mr. Seymour.
"How was it? Lively?" Chaya deliberately asked loudly, wanting Old Mrs. Wilson and Old Mrs. Wilson to hear clearly how remarkable her daughter was, that Ophelia was the real Seymour family daughter-in-law in the future.

"Quite a number of people there." Ophelia of course understood the purpose behind Chaya’s question and said with a smile, "Grandpa really liked the painting and calligraphy Jas gifted, praised his thoughtfulness."
After Ophelia finished speaking, she wasn’t surprised to see Old Mrs. Wilson and Old Mrs. Wilson secretly breathe a sigh of relief.
Though their reactions were not very obvious, they couldn’t escape Ophelia’s scrutinizing eyes.
Ophelia sneered inside; those two old folks have always wanted to climb up the Seymour family.
Just that they wanted to climb up through Jas initially, later shifted to Charles, but alas, neither Sophie Wilson nor Mason Wilson and Clarissa Taylor returned this New Year.
They threw quite a big tantrum during the New Year, probably feeling Charles couldn’t be relied upon anymore and thus pinned their hopes on Jas.
This ti for Old Mr. Seymour’s birthday, they emphasized for quite a while, asking her to represent them in bringing well wishes to Old Mr. Seymour.
Those old schers truly are shrewd.
Knowing well Jas’s position in the Seymour family is sowhat awkward, normally he doesn’t even get to see Old Mr. Seymour; on one hand, they want to cozy up to the Seymour family through Jas, and on the other hand, avoid going themselves to dodge the embarrassnt of potentially not being let in.
They want to secure all the benefits without taking a bit of risk, thinking she’s a fool to let them exploit her like this for nothing?
"Mom, I’m heading to my room." Ophelia didn’t want to say much, after all, she was soon getting married to Jas. Once married, she could move out from here and no longer have to put up with those two disgusting people.
If they want to cozy up to her, she won’t be polite either; she will utilize the Wilson Clan resources whenever she can.
"Alright, alright, you must be tired, go and rest quickly." After Chaya Davis finished speaking, she watched Ophelia head upstairs before seemingly muttering to herself, "My Ophelia is truly a lucky star, look, everything turned joyous as soon as she went to the Seymour family."
After saying that, Chaya Davis pretended not to notice the suddenly ugly expression on Old Mrs. Wilson’s face and went upstairs smugly.
"She..." Old Mrs. Wilson was so angry that she pointed towards the direction Chaya departed, and was about to say sothing when Old Mrs. Wilson stopped her, "Back to the room."
Under the current circumstance, Ophelia should be pleased, who let her have such standing in the Seymour family?
Actually, Sophie Wilson’s value is way higher than Ophelia’s, it’s just... Old Mrs. Wilson thought about Mason Wilson’s stubborn temperant and felt a headache.
How could that kid really take it seriously; they didn’t recognize Sophie imdiately back then, wasn’t it all for the Wilson Clan’s considerations?
