Jas Reed’s shocked gaze moved from Ethan Seymour’s face to Charlotte Reed’s face, seeking answers from her in disbelief.
Charlotte Reed pressed her lips uncomfortably and nodded.
Jas Reed staggered, quickly turned around, opened the computer, and rapidly searched for Ophelia Wilson.
Then... the webpages that ca up, along with the accompanying text in the pictures, didn’t even need to be clicked on; the shocking keywords made Jas Reed’s hands tremble, and it took him three tries to successfully click on the webpage.
Ethan Seymour looked at Jas Reed’s condition, feeling awful inside as well, his overwhelming anger slightly subsiding.
Ophelia Wilson committed such a scandal, it was shaful, but the one suffering the most was his own son.
"Jas..." Ethan Seymour called softly.
Jas Reed seed to not have heard, continuously scrolling the mouse, looking at the content above.
Ethan Seymour wanted to say more, but Charlotte Reed tugged at him, signaling with her eyes to give Jas so ti.
Ethan Seymour thought it over several tis, suppressing a belly full of words and waiting for Jas Reed to finish reading.
Finally, after a full half-hour, Jas Reed finished reading, looking completely dazed and silly, seemingly overstimulated and unable to co to his senses.
"Jas, we must call off this engagent," Ethan Seymour said firmly, suppressing his anger, "Such a woman absolutely cannot enter our family!"
If he weren’t afraid of further stimulating Jas, he would have already started cursing.
After hearing Ethan Seymour’s words, Jas Reed slowly turned around, his movents quite stiff, like a rusty machine, his eyes fixed dead on Ethan Seymour, looking as if he was lifeless.
"Jas, don’t scare your mother!" Charlotte Reed was terrified, her face turning pale, afraid sothing bad might happen to Jas Reed.
"Jas, it’s just one woman, you don’t need to take it to heart. You’re young and capable, what kind of woman couldn’t you get?" Ethan Seymour advised.
He figured Ophelia Wilson wasn’t worthy of his son.
Jas Reed’s lips twitched slightly, seemingly trying to smile but failing, yet finally making so noise: "No, I trust Ophelia, she wouldn’t do such a thing."
The voice sounded as if it had been ground by coarse sandpaper, exceptionally hoarse and unpleasant.
Upon hearing this, Ethan Seymour almost went insane: "What are you saying? You don’t believe it? How can you not believe it? The photos online are all out! What, do you have to catch her in bed to believe it?"
"Ethan, say less," Charlotte Reed, distressed, tugged at Ethan Seymour, "It’s normal for Jas to find it hard to accept at first."
"What’s hard to accept?" Ethan Seymour was furious, panting heavily, this was his son, but if it were soone else, why would he be so anxious?
"I’m telling you, imdiately issue a statent, distance yourself from Ophelia Wilson, end the engagent! It must be ended, right away, do it now!"
Ethan Seymour’s words seed to jolt Jas Reed out of his daze; he quickly picked up his phone, dialed, and as soon as the call connected, Jas Reed anxiously asked: "Ophelia, everything online is fake, right? I trust you, it’s all fake!"
Ethan Seymour, hearing this, was so angry he nearly fainted.
This useless Jas Reed, even at this point with irrefutable evidence, how could he still believe Ophelia Wilson, that shaless tramp?
