Jas Reed was almost losing his mind, constantly asking doctors in the hospital when Ophelia Wilson would wake up.
Because Ophelia Wilson hit her head, now the doctors couldn’t assure anything; although tests showed no serious harm, having hit her head ans anything could potentially happen.
Jas Reed was extrely anxious, while Chaya Davis was pulling Jas Reed to curse: "Let tell you, Jas! This is murder! I’m going to make your father pay with his life for Ophelia!"
"Aunt, it really wasn’t that, my father absolutely didn’t intend to hurt Ophelia!" Jas Reed hurriedly explained.
"Wasn’t? You think everyone’s blind here?" Chaya Davis insisted on grabbing Jas Reed and shouted, "I’ll tell you, I have witnesses; the hotel has surveillance, your father committed murder!"
"Aunt, it really isn’t like that." Jas Reed hurriedly explained, "I’m about to marry Ophelia, why would my father want to kill his daughter-in-law?"
"Your father doesn’t agree! Don’t think I don’t know!" Chaya Davis pushed Jas Reed out of the ward, "I’m telling you, if anything happens to my Ophelia, I won’t let him off!"
"Aunt, Aunt..." Jas Reed excitedly tapped on the door.
The nurse ca over to remind him: "Sir, please don’t make noise and disturb other patients’ rest."
"Sorry, sorry." Jas Reed apologized repeatedly.
He took one last deep look at the tightly closed door of the ward, then turned around and quickly went downstairs.
At this mont, outside the hospital was completely surrounded by the dia, and Jas Reed could only find another way out.
He even disguised himself a bit to avoid being recognized by the dia.
"Mom, how is Dad doing on that side?" Jas Reed t Charlotte Reed at the café near the police station entrance.
"Not very optimistic." Charlotte Reed sighed, "The lawyer said in your father’s case, everything depends on Ophelia Wilson."
"If she’s okay and then testifies that your father didn’t an to push her, then there’s no issue. But if Ophelia Wilson is in trouble, or if she insists your father tried to kill her... then it’s a big problem." Charlotte Reed said sadly.
"Jas, what should we do?" Charlotte Reed looked at Jas Reed, utterly at a loss.
Jas Reed’s hands and feet were cold, and he felt dazed. He took a big gulp of water before speaking: "What else can we do now? We can only keep going and think of a way later."
"No way!" Charlotte Reed nervously instinctively refuted Jas Reed, "Do you really want to marry Ophelia Wilson? Isn’t that ruining yourself?"
"There’s no other solution right now!" Jas Reed said with a bitter expression, "If sothing happens to Dad, we won’t have any foothold with the Seymour Family!"
Charlotte Reed’s face went pale; she seed to have hit a dead end, with no way out: "But if you marry Ophelia Wilson, what about Hayley Cole?"
