"I’m a bit excited," Jas Reed said with an awkward smile.
"I’m excited too," Ophelia Wilson replied, her joyful smile never fading.
At the photo shoot location, Jas and Ophelia stood ready. The photographer smiled and said, "Groom, don’t be nervous. Give us a smile."
Jas made an effort to stretch his lips, but that smile looked particularly stiff.
The photographer chuckled, "Look at your beautiful bride beside you, that’s excitent for you."
"Jas, give us a smile," Ophelia turned her head and said.
Jas squeezed Ophelia’s hand and said, "I’m too nervous."
Ophelia could sense it; Jas’s palms were sweaty. She advised, "Don’t be nervous, just smile. Once the photo is done, we can register for our marriage certificate."
Who wants to register?
Jas almost blurted out that sentence.
But upon seeing those caras and journalists, Jas swallowed those words back with a mix of blood and forced out a word from between his teeth: "Okay."
Jas calculated that the ti should be almost up.
Finally, he managed a proper smile. Although it looked a bit stiff, it was still a smile.
With a click, the photo was done. Very soon, they could go to get their certificate stamped.
All the docunts were ready, the red booklet was in the hands of the staff.
Imdiately afterward, Jas felt the air in the space compress to the extre, depriving him of enough oxygen to breathe.
His lungs felt a suffocating pain, almost about to explode.
Every movent of the staff transford into a slow-motion sequence in Jas’s eyes.
The marriage certificate had been picked up, ready to go under the embossing machine.
Suddenly, a reporter’s phone rang behind him, the urgent ringtone sounding like a lifesaving anthem which made Jas turn his head quickly to look at the reporter who answered the call.
Quickly be amazed!
Quickly co and ask questions!
Quickly!
Jas kept chanting inwardly, urgently chanting.
In Jas’s anticipation, the reporter answered the phone, agreed to sothing twice, and then hung up without any expression.
Jas: "!!!"
What’s going on?
"Jas, Jas!" Ophelia joyfully shook Jas, placing a hard, icy item in his hand, "We are legally married!"
That sentence hit Jas like a bolt from the blue, nearly turning him to dust!
Lowering his head, the flash of red in his hand painfully stung Jas’s eyes, making his vision blur with red.
How could this be?
Could he really have registered?
What about the acting?
What about the pretense?
All vanished.
Jas felt as if he were stepping on clouds; the whole world was swaying, alternating between black and white before his eyes, and the sounds around him drifted closer and further away. Many people were moving back and forth in front of him, making his head feel like it was about to explode.
"Have so candy, have so candy!" Ophelia hurriedly distributed the celebratory sweets she had prepared to the staff and the following dia reporters, feeling so happy she seed to float.
She had finally married Jas!
From now on, she would be Jas’s wife!
"Looks like the groom is overjoyed!" the staff teased, having seen many such couples, finding nothing surprising.
Seeing Jas so excited, Ophelia chuckled, "We’re just so happy, we’re too happy."
