"Am I being foolish again?" Feeling overwheld, Julian Campbell had already learned from experience.
Sophie Wilson laughed, "Why do you criticize yourself like that?"
"You’re kind-hearted and simple-minded, it’s a good thing." Sophie found a way to comfort Julian that he’d find more acceptable.
Julian’s gaze moved from Sophie’s face to Charles Seymour’s face, and then... the barely noticeable curve at the corner of his uncle’s lips was undeniably filled with disdain.
He didn’t feel comforted at all... felt like crying...
"Auntie, just tell directly. I can handle it!" Julian straightened his chest and said, "I have to grow up eventually!"
"Good, that’s the spirit!" Sophie praised him with satisfaction.
"Do you think Jas Reed will propose a divorce with Ophelia Wilson at this point?" Sophie decided to enlighten Julian a bit. After all, he was family, and she had the patience for it.
"Definitely not!" Julian replied without a thought, "That hypocrite Jas Reed will definitely pretend to be deeply affectionate; he has to pretend he’s the most innocent one!"
Over the years, he had witnessed how disgustingly Jas Reed would ingratiate himself to Ethan Seymour, inciting conflicts between his uncle and Ethan.
His hypocrisy really made him sick!
"So, it’s definitely Ophelia Wilson who proposed it." Sophie said with a smile.
"Ophelia Wilson proposed it? Is she crazy? Right now, marrying Jas Reed is her best option. If she divorced him, she’d have nothing left!" Julian exclaid.
"Exactly, so, what do you think Ophelia Wilson will do when she finds out the man she loves deeply has been acting all along, calculating against her...?" Sophie smiled as she asked Julian, "When a woman who has nothing left wants to take revenge on soone who has hurt her deeply... isn’t it interesting?"
Julian swallowed hard, shivering as he stamred, "Th-that... A-Auntie... Could you stop smiling?"
Sophie looked at Julian in confusion, "What’s wrong?"
"Your smile is creepy!" Julian wailed.
As soon as he said this, he imdiately felt a chill in the air, a sense of crisis surged through him, making him shiver uncontrollably.
Julian cried...
He couldn’t go on living like this!
All he did was say a few words, why did his uncle look at him like that?
The look was so frightening, sob sob sob...
Uncle is so scary... and he found an equally scary aunt...
He wanted to go ho and find his mom!

"What did Charles say?" Old Mrs. Seymour asked with concern.
"Nothing much," Old Mr. Seymour replied, shaking his head.
"Ethan is getting more and more outrageous," Old Mrs. Seymour frowned with dissatisfaction, "Jas Reed’s marriage and divorce are their family matters, why bother calling you to complain?"
"This is his way of telling he’ll handle Jas Reed’s affairs properly and that it won’t affect Seymour Corporation..." Old Mr. Seymour sneered with irony, "He’s just worried about his unstable position in the company."
Ethan Seymour’s little sches were so obvious, they didn’t even need guessing and were all written on his face.
Too opportunistic!

"Jas Reed brought this upon himself. Why hint at Charles in that phone call?" Old Mrs. Seymour cared deeply for her eldest grandson; even if Ethan didn’t, she did.
"Has Charles ever concerned himself with him all these years?" Old Mrs. Seymour scoffed disdainfully, "It’s like letting it all go like a fart."
