Lucy Wells spoke calmly, as if she hadn’t noticed the young lady’s hostility towards her at all.
This left Miss Lee at a loss for words, her eyes darting about, and eventually, she got up angrily and slamd the door on her way out.
"Wow, Lucy, you’re amazing!" Sophie Wilson stared at Lucy Wells in amazent; the old Lucy would never have been able to handle things so calmly.
"It’s nothing amazing, just doing business." Lucy Wells smiled, a faint blush appearing on her cheeks.
Sophie Wilson couldn’t stop staring at Lucy Wells, making her more embarrassed: "Sophie, what are you looking at?"
"I’m looking at the new and improved Lucy of my house. So impressive. Much more mature than I am." Sophie Wilson grinned, "If it were , I wouldn’t care about the company; I’d just confront directly. But you managed to stay calm and put the company’s interests first."
"Not really." With Sophie Wilson’s praise, Lucy Wells beca more embarrassed. She used to envy Sophie’s bold style back then.
"I just think there’s no need to get angry with her; after all, she’s irrelevant." Lucy Wells smiled gently, causing Sophie Wilson to stare in daze.
"Lucy, if I didn’t have Mr. Seymour at ho, I would really fall for you."
Sophie Wilson’s words made Lucy Wells laugh and scold, "Nonsense, what are you talking about?"
"Really, your mature and steady nature is wonderful. You’re so gentle and caring, truly warm, oh dear... I think my brother got a great deal!" Sophie Wilson’s exaggerated expression made Lucy Wells laugh uncontrollably.
Sophie envies her maturity and steadiness, yet she envies Sophie’s cheerfulness and vivacity.
"Go busy yourself, I’ll go to work." Lucy Wells said with a smile.
"I rarely co by, and you’re not even accompanying ?" Sophie Wilson pouted reluctantly.
"After work." Lucy Wells knew Sophie was just playing, and promised with a smile.
"Hmph, do you take for a fool? After work, my brother will monopolize you." Sophie Wilson sighed pitifully, "I, this poor person, should just go to work."
Lucy Wells was truly bemused by Sophie Wilson. Sophie, feeling pitiful? She only cos to the company once a month, while she...
Lucy Wells shook her head with amusent and went to work.
When it was ti to leave, she received a text from Sophie Wilson, "You go ahead, I still have so things to wrap up. Don’t let delay your date with my brother :p"
Lucy Wells chuckled, packed up her things, and finished work.
She wasn’t going to be polite with Sophie.
Outside the company, Kai Bright’s car hadn’t arrived yet, but soone ca up to her directly: "Lucy Wells, I have sothing to say to you."
Seeing Miss Lee with an unpleasant expression in front of her, Lucy Wells felt a bit helpless and nodded, "Let’s go to the side."
Blocking the entrance of the company building was too embarrassing.
Once they moved to a place where they wouldn’t affect others, Lucy Wells then asked, "Miss Lee, you have..."
"Lucy Wells, does soone like you deserve Young Master Bright?" Miss Lee opened with straight-to-the-point sarcasm.
Lucy Wells wasn’t too surprised; when Miss Lee kept making trouble at the company and eventually explicitly ca looking for her, she figured it was directed at her.
"Does Miss Lee like Kai?" Lucy Wells asked without anger, smiling.
