"Hello, we’re here to clear the table."
The arrival of the waiter was a lifeline for Sophie Wilson, who hurriedly stood up and said, "Thank you. Oh, can you give us the nu? We’d like to order."
"Sure." The waiter quickly brought over two nus, and several other waiters swiftly cleared the half-eaten dishes from the table and set it up again.
Sophie Wilson held up the nu, pretending to look at it seriously, while secretly pinching Charles Seymour under the table.

Charles Seymour looked at Sophie Wilson innocently. She didn’t give him the chance, and besides, he didn’t know Sophie would say sothing so astonishing.
Well... although, he was still looking forward to what she would say for him.
"Uncle, Auntie, what do you like to eat?" Of course, Charles Seymour had to help Sophie out of the awkwardness; otherwise, she wouldn’t enjoy her al later.
"I rember Auntie likes..." Charles Seymour quickly listed the preferences of Mason Wilson and Clarissa Taylor, and appropriately recomnded dishes from the restaurant suitable for their tastes.
With Charles Seymour easing the atmosphere, Mason Wilson and Clarissa Taylor chatted with him as if nothing had happened earlier.
Seeing the lively atmosphere, Sophie Wilson secretly breathed a sigh of relief and pretended to forget what had just happened. After a happy dinner with the family, Mason Wilson naturally drove Clarissa Taylor ho, while Sophie Wilson was taken ho by Charles Seymour.
Sitting in the car, Clarissa Taylor couldn’t help but laugh, "That girl Sophie... Charles really spoils her."

Even as her mother, Clarissa felt what Sophie said was a bit too blunt, but... Charles didn’t seem to mind at all.
That’s just Charles firmly standing by Sophie’s side. Otherwise, if he were even slightly annoyed with Sophie, she would be unhappy about it.
No matter what, their child is always wonderful, even if there’s a small issue occasionally. As parents, they can talk about it privately, but they never allow others to criticize or reprimand her.
"Charles is a good kid," Clarissa Taylor said with a satisfied smile. "He’s really looking out for Sophie and knows how to smooth things over."
"Charles isn’t soone who usually smooths things over; he only does it for Sophie." After saying this, Clarissa Taylor sought confirmation from Mason Wilson, "Isn’t Charles usually a bit difficult to talk to?"
"You can remove ’a bit’," Mason Wilson said while driving, "he’s quite difficult to talk to."
"You expect him to be easygoing when he even confronts clients?" Mason Wilson sighed.
Charles Seymour truly takes being headstrong to an extre.
Hearing Mason Wilson say this, Clarissa Taylor felt reassured.
No matter how Charles Seymour is usually, as long as he’s good to her Sophie, that’s enough.
"But... his sudden appearance makes feel sothing’s off." Mason Wilson pondered.
"What? You suspect him of acting?" Clarissa Taylor asked worriedly, then reconsidered and dismissed her own thought, "His eyes didn’t look like he was pretending."
Their feelings for Sophie, they could all sense it wasn’t fake.
"That’s not what I ant," Mason Wilson shook his head. "I just feel like Charles is scheming against my dad."
Although he didn’t know what Charles Seymour had in mind, he had a faint feeling about it.
