Charles Seymour took Sophie Wilson to the cafeteria. The two of them didn’t buy anything imdiately; instead, they walked around each food stall, everything looked rather delicious.
Of course, because it was specially prepared for them, the bidders, the regular food stalls didn’t have many varieties.
The people at the training camp knew that these folks were used to various delicacies, worrying that they wouldn’t like ordinary food; if they made too much, it’d go to waste if uneaten.
However, fortunately, there were still many options for stir-fried dishes.
There were no private rooms here, just the typical four-seater tables of a cafeteria, kept clean and tidy.
"Are all the tables four-seaters now?" Sophie Wilson asked curiously. "I thought they were those really big tables with several food bowls on them for everyone to grab from."
She had also seen training camp cafeterias on TV, which looked entirely different from this place.
"It’s still like that now," Charles Seymour said. "This area is for receiving external visitors."
The implication was that this place was, therefore, different.
"Got it." Sophie nodded, then ordered four dishes at the stir-fry stall. The portions were not large, but the prices were reasonable, just right for her and Charles Seymour to eat.
"What’s the matter?" Charles Seymour saw Sophie Wilson hesitating nearby and walked over to ask.
"I want noodles, but I also want rice," Sophie said, blinking her eyes as she looked at Charles Seymour.
Charles Seymour’s lips curled into a smile and he made a decision: "One bowl of noodles, if you can’t finish, give it to ."
"Yay, Mr. Seymour, you’re the best!" Sophie hugged Charles Seymour’s neck and gave him a peck on the cheek.
Charles hugged Sophie, and just as it was a warm mont, it was disrupted by a strange presence.
Charles Seymour looked up and locked eyes with Jas Reed.
Jas Reed gave Charles a slight smile, as if to greet him.
Charles’s movent made Sophie turn her head to see Jas Reed with Benjamin Walton and Old Mrs. Wilson next to him.
Sophie huffed, muttering, "You really can bump into annoying people anywhere."
"Let’s go sit down first," Charles said, holding Sophie close.
"Mm." Sophie carried the rice over, while Charles waited for the stir-fried dishes at the window.
Sophie had just taken her seat when a shadow blocked the light from the window.
Sophie’s brows furrowed, sighing inwardly in resignation; couldn’t she just enjoy a peaceful al?
"Sophie." Old Mrs. Wilson didn’t bother with pleasantries and directly sat across from her. "I’m here for Wilson Corporation."
Sophie was really worn out by Old Mrs. Wilson. She forced the corners of her lips upward, showing a smile that couldn’t be any more fake: "Old Mrs. Wilson, seriously, whatever you want, I have zero interest in knowing."
"Sophie, you’re still sulking with grandpa." Old Mrs. Wilson sighed gently. "Everything grandpa is doing now is for the company’s good. In the future, when your dad returns, won’t the company still be managed by him? Ultimately, the company is yours."
"Old Mrs. Wilson," Sophie really didn’t want to waste words with Old Mrs. Wilson, so she straightforwardly stated, "This cannot justify your cooperation with Jas Reed."
"You should know the relationship between Jas Reed and is like water and fire. Also, Benjamin Walton is Erie Wilson’s husband, and Erie Wilson is my enemy. What do you think your so-called ’last resort’ looks like to ?"
Sophie didn’t even need his reply and directly gave him the answer: "Pure self-interest."
