Jas Reed is just trying to humiliate those Seymour Corporation board mbers, isn’t he?
Make them realize that her Mr. Seymour is the incapable one, and they bet on the wrong horse.
Sophie was frustrated, regretting a bit that she should’ve secured this bid.
No, it’s not about whether she wins or not; what’s crucial is that Jas Reed absolutely cannot win.

Charles Seymour reached out to squeeze Sophie’s hand and asked, "What’s wrong?"
Sophie seed a bit anxious.
"Annoyed!" Sophie said irritably, "I’ll be really annoyed if Jas Reed wins the bid."
"Do you care a lot about winning this bid?" Charles tilted his head slightly, asking Sophie.
"Well, not quite, just a bit annoyed. But, it’s okay. I’ll reclaim face in other places in the future." Sophie smiled at Charles.
Her most annoyance is not winning the bid, while Jas Reed is silently provoking her Mr. Seymour.
She better not ntion this, to prevent her Mr. Seymour from feeling upset.
"Okay." Charles nodded slightly, not saying much.
After glancing at the calm Charles, Sophie asked, "Did you... pull any strings?"
She rembered her Mr. Seymour still had connections.
"No." Charles shook his head.
"Alright, let’s wait for the result." Sophie said softly.
"What’s this, Sophie Wilson, you’re even thinking about pulling strings for the bid? Not sure if your man has connections in this aspect." Being close is inconvenient; Hayley Cole overheard Sophie’s conversation with Charles and imdiately sarcastically comnted.
Hayley’s utter sense of superiority amused Sophie; is she afraid of not causing trouble for her stepfather?
Chairman Cole must have had extrely bad luck to have such a stepdaughter, really clueless.
Just when Hayley was about to say more, the eting room door opened, and people from the training camp ca in.
Seeing the person in front made Hayley’s face change slightly; why did Jason Cole co personally?
Other company mbers saw Jason Cole and felt lucky; thankfully their business didn’t overlap with Wilson Corporation or Sophie Wilson’s company, or else they would indeed suffer.

"Quiet!" The team maintaining order shouted; the training camp mbers have strong voices, accompanied by authority, making those who were whispering imdiately shut up, waiting quietly for the results.
After coming in, Jason Cole didn’t have extra words but let the person responsible for bidding announce the results.
The first three projects went smoothly; so were relieved, so were disappointed, all within the normal acceptance range.
After getting the results, everyone’s eyes fell on Sophie and Hayley; the main event is next.
