Now reading: Chapter 964: Gone Mad from Rebirth: Clinging to My Possessive Magnate, a Romance novel by Yue Yi Ming.

"I heard that quite a few companies have directly withdrawn and didn’t even participate in the bidding. Their sole purpose is to let Wilson Corporation win the bid."

Sophie Wilson’s words made Hayley Cole’s breath hitch, and she continued, "And other companies bidding like mine, the prices are really abnormal, terrifyingly low."

"What’s abnormal about it?" Hayley Cole quickly retorted, only then rembering the rumor she spread about the bidding.

If it really gets investigated, Jason Cole certainly won’t forgive her.

Then she’ll be in trouble.

"This just ans they’ve got better cost-effective products, which is why the prices are cheap." Hayley Cole tried hard to look justified, so she wouldn’t expose her guilty conscience.

"We’ve already chosen the products that best et the bidding requirents. If there’s anything lower, there’s only one possibility—product quality is not up to standard!" Sophie Wilson sneered as she watched Hayley Cole’s face quickly turn pale, "How could such a company possibly win the bid?"

"You say it is, so it must be?" Hayley Cole stiffened her neck, refusing to concede, "Anyway, this bidding is just unfair!"

"You’re welco to suspect; feel free to complain! If you don’t complain, it just ans you’re guilty!" Sophie Wilson laughed derisively. Whoever made moves behind the scenes knows it well, she surely wished Hayley Cole would go ahead and complain.

Let’s see then, who’s the unlucky one!

"Hayley, let it go." Jas Reed got up, stopped Hayley Cole, and gave her an out, "This is the result; let’s accept it and not make aningless resistance."

"Ultimately, we’re not as well-connected as they are," Jas Reed said, casting an implicit glance at Charles Seymour, smiling wryly, "We concede."

Jas Reed’s words made Sophie Wilson feel uneasy.

What’s he implying?

Is he saying her Mr. Seymour used connections?

Saying her Mr. Seymour bullied him?

Her Mr. Seymour won’t take the bla for this!

"I’d like to ask sothing." Sophie Wilson turned and looked at Jason Cole, "Why was Wilson Corporation’s bid voided, but mine wasn’t?"

Actually, Sophie Wilson was puzzled.

Logically, Wilson Corporation’s bidding project was unjust; clearly, her company’s bidding project wasn’t public either.

However, the difference is, Wilson Corporation is suppressing others, while her company is being besieged and suppressed by others.

As soon as Sophie Wilson asked, everyone’s eyes in the eting hall fell on her.

The representatives of many companies only had two words flash through their minds—crazy!

Sophie Wilson must be out of her mind?

Anyone with sense can see there’s sothing fishy about this bid.

It’s likely Charles Seymour did sothing behind the scenes, so the bid from Sophie Wilson’s company wasn’t voided.

Actually, Sophie Wilson’s situation is the sa as Old Mrs. Wilson’s; only, Charles Seymour has a stronger backing, hence the result.

They have eyes and brains; through what they’ve seen, they can figure out the result.

What Sophie Wilson is doing seemingly wants to implicate Charles Seymour too?

Is she crazy?

Jas Reed didn’t expect Sophie Wilson to say that, paused for a mont, then smiled bitterly and advised, "Miss Wilson, since the result is out, let’s not dwell on those things. I believe in the fairness of the bidding, it won’t disregard justice. There’s no need to stir things up further."
