"This is great. I'm really surprised. I didn't hear about you joining the military." Ye Jian took a step back and sized up Yang Heng carefully. "You're indeed handso. You're much more handso than when you were in casual clothes.
"Why did you join the military?" she asked again.
Yang Heng, who had a crew cut, looked much tougher now. "Just because. I don't even know why I signed up. It was a mont of hot-headedness, I guess.
"I've joined the translation departnt.. You've taken the martial arts route while I've taken the language route."
Yang Heng, who ca back from studying abroad, had chosen to join the military just because of Auntie Song Lanting's words. "Since you haven't thought of where you want to go after coming back to the country, you can join the military too. You're not that old. Go and try and see if you can get in."
Yang Heng was 23 years old when he ca back after graduating from university overseas. He was one year younger than the age limit of 24. Most importantly, he graduated with a master's degree. After layers of political review, Yang Heng joined the army last winter.
He was assigned to the translation departnt of a certain base and beca an interpreter in the military unit.

After hearing the reason why Yang Heng joined the army, Ye Jian couldn't help but sigh. "I didn't expect you to join the army too. Before the holidays, Zhiqiu and I talked about you. We both thought that you would stay in Australia for your girlfriend."
"Hahaha, that beauty from Australia already has a new lover. My cousin…" Because it was Ye Jian, Song Zhiqiu didn't think too much and wanted to reveal Yang Heng's love history. Before he could say it, Yang Heng nudged his stomach with his elbow.
"Song Zhiqiu, don't you dare say another word." Yang Heng gritted his teeth and warned him. This was such an embarrassing matter… He didn't want to ntion it. It was a dark history that he didn't want to rember in his lifeti.
Song Zhiqiu, who was holding his stomach, groaned and didn't continue. He only said to Ye Jian, "I'll tell you when I'm free. We'll hide from him."
Xu Wen and He Jing didn't understand anything imdiately. When Ye Jian saw Yang Heng's dark expression, she pursed her lips and smiled. She looked at Yang Heng aningfully.
Although he stopped Song Zhiqiu in ti, she still knew sothing.

Yang Heng felt uncomfortable under Ye Jian's gaze. He glared at Ye Jian and sighed helplessly. "It's a huge psychological pressure to be your friend. You're so smart. Do I have any privacy left?"

Ye Jian looked at the two cousins and smiled at Xu Wen. "He ans to ask if your eyes have been blinded by sand."
