Since the black jade pendant was not given by Dongfang Yu, could it be from the Gu Family Ancestor?

Otherwise, there’s no explaining these current scenes.

But how could this white cat be connected to the Gu Family Ancestor?

What exactly is going on between them?

Gu Qiaoqiao thought for a mont and couldn’t help but ask, "Xiao Bai, before you knew Dongfang Yu, where did you live, and what did you usually do?"

Xiao Bai raised its head, looked at Gu Qiaoqiao, patted its head with its paw, and then let it down.

Gu Qiaoqiao was stunned, "You an you’ve forgotten?"

Xiao Bai nodded.

Gu Qiaoqiao, still unwilling to accept this, asked, "Xiao Bai, did you suddenly rember the jade pendant because you saw drawing talismans, but your mory is incomplete?"

Xiao Bai continued nodding.

So that’s how it is.

Gu Qiaoqiao stopped asking.

She held the cat and walked out of the Treasure Room.

Then Gu Qiaoqiao closed the hidden door of the Treasure Room, and the two stood still for a mont. Gu Qiaoqiao left the place with Xiao Bai in her arms.

As she walked slowly on the blue-brick path, for the first ti, Gu Qiaoqiao felt so natural and close while holding Xiao Bai.

There was no longer the old feeling of repulsion.

Maybe it was because of that scene in the Treasure Room.

Gu Qiaoqiao was really sure this ti that Xiao Bai was connected to the Gu Family Ancestor.

It’s just unclear what kind of connection it is.

Only by eting the Gu Family Ancestor could she know what’s going on, or perhaps after the white jade stone in the Treasure Room is nurtured well, everything about the Gu Family Ancestor will be revealed.

Although Gu Qiaoqiao was a bit anxious, she had to wait patiently.

The whole way, Gu Qiaoqiao and Xiao Bai were very silent.

When they got near the hall, they heard laughter and chatter inside.

When young people gather, they are always so lively and joyful.

Gu Qiaoqiao stood at the door, shook her head, dispelled her thoughts, then let go of Xiao Bai. Understanding Gu Qiaoqiao’s intention, Xiao Bai jumped out of her hand swiftly and ran toward the hall.

In no ti, it reached Shang Qing.

Seeing the white cat approach, Shang Qing was imdiately filled with joy and extended her hands to hold Xiao Bai in her arms.

Beside her, Gu Qianqian was also happily stroking Xiao Bai’s white fur.

And Xiao Bai seed to thoroughly enjoy it, purring in its throat.

Then Xiao Bai lifted its head to look at Gu Qiaoqiao, who was talking to Chu Chengfeng.

Now that its body had recovered well, wandering the mountains was no longer a problem, but there was still one thing it was fixated on: its owner’s whereabouts.

It must find its owner.

Whether dead or alive.

It must find them.

But, if the only person who knows the owner’s whereabouts—Gu Qiaoqiao—won’t tell it, what should it do?

Xiao Bai felt it was an unsolvable conundrum.

In the grand sche of things, destiny would have its way.

With its intuition, this calamity of its owner would eventually pass because its owner was not ant to perish.

And where Xiao Bai was stationed, facing the outside of the hall, the setting sun gently enveloped the Gu Garden, casting threads of golden light everywhere.

Against the light, everything was etched with a golden outline, as magnificent and splendid as a celestial palace.

Yet, even if everything was subject to fate, where was its owner at this mont?

Xiao Bai felt troubled, but it thought, surely the heavens would provide it with an answer.

With that thought, Xiao Bai slightly squinted its eyes.

It stopped dwelling on botherso matters, instead continuing to purr contentedly.

Very much at ease.

After hearing Chu Chengfeng’s words, Gu Qiaoqiao nodded, "Okay, pick up in the morning."

"Sis-in-law, Ah Ze said he has prepared everything. Just bring so personal items."

"Got it," Gu Qiaoqiao rembered sothing and asked, "Aren’t the others going?"

Chu Chengfeng winked playfully, "Sis-in-law, you finally have a holiday. We don’t want to ruin it."

Gu Qiaoqiao glanced at Chu Chengfeng, smiled, and said generously, "Smart decision."

Chu Chengfeng laughed along.

His eyes shifted, and he scratched the back of his head, chuckling, "Sis-in-law, Ah Ze said we’ll set out in five days and et at Crescent Lake."

What’s all this about?

Gu Qiaoqiao looked at Chu Chengfeng suspiciously, "Is this Qin Yize’s exact words?"

Chu Chengfeng nodded, "Yes, that’s what he ant."

Gu Qiaoqiao thought for a mont and agreed.

It’s rare for these people to have such an opportunity to gather together.

And it’s a place where almost none of them have been.

Though a world for two is nice, being together with everyone is extrely joyful.

And when she thought of the timing Qin Yize set, it was probably his holiday too.

Since Qin Yize had prepared everything, it ant he would thoughtfully prepare almost everything she needed.

She only had to bring so personal items.

But Chu Chengfeng was mysterious, not telling her where to go, only stating that she would know by the afternoon.

As for Crescent Lake, Gu Qiaoqiao had never heard of it before.

Yet, it takes a whole morning’s travel, even by car, so it’s not very close to the Imperial Capital.

Gu Qiaoqiao smiled as she looked at the splendid sunset outside the window, and suddenly a phrase ca to her mind: where he is, flowers bloom everywhere.

Her eyes shimred with a brilliant glow, finding this phrase truly resonated with her.

Dinner was naturally lively; it had been a long ti since so many people gathered to eat at Gu Garden.

Gu Qingfeng was very happy; having gotten older, he no longer preferred tranquility, but rather a bustling ho filled with children and grandchildren.

After dinner, Gu Qiaoqiao saw Shang Qing and Chu Chengfeng off from Gu Garden.

Then she headed to her great-grandfather’s study.

Gu Tianfeng was on duty tonight, so he wasn’t ho.

But even if he were, he wouldn’t get involved in certain matters.

So, so things were known only by Gu Qingfeng and Gu Qiaoqiao.

As for the rest of the family, they were happy just to live their lives.

Gu Qiaoqiao held a palm fan to fan Gu Qingfeng. The old patriarch didn’t like using electric fans, always saying the wind from them wasn’t right, making his head hurt.

The family just let him be.

When he was around, the fan was rarely turned on.

However, fortunately, the Gu Garden had a great location, making sumr nights feel quite cool.

As Gu Qiaoqiao fanned away, she listened to Gu Qingfeng talking about today’s eting with He Shan.

After listening, Gu Qiaoqiao furrowed her brows.

She always felt He Shan seed casual, but was actually here for the Gu Family.

Especially given her relationship with Chang Jianhua.

Therefore, caution was necessary.

Still, there were aspects she didn’t understand; logically, after knowing the enmity between the Gu and Chang families, wouldn’t He Shan hide this information?
