Oh, he’s practically beco Brother Dongfang now.

Qiaoqiao internally rolled her eyes, not quite knowing what Dongfang Yu had said to her earlier.

"I don’t know if he’s that kind of person, but you should be careful." Qiaoqiao still cautioned.

"Mm, I know..." Shang Qing said, her face blushing.

After chatting for a while, Shang Qing hurriedly took a cab ho. She had a lot to do—she needed to pack so things and pretend she was going out. Besides, she needed so belongings in Dongfang Yu’s apartnt too. As she left, the little girl’s cheeks were flushed, her eyes sparkled, and she was excited with a hint of anticipation for the future.

Only after the car was out of sight did Qiaoqiao retract her gaze. After thinking it over, she realized she had no particular destination. It’d be better to go back to Gu Garden since it was close by.

She had so matters to discuss with Great Grandfather, regarding the agreent with Lifeng Security Company, and so things about Yubao Square in Jinling City...

Qiaoqiao hailed a taxi and drove slowly toward Gu Garden.

anwhile, in Jinling City.

In a famous park attraction, because it was sumr vacation, many people ca to visit. During this ti, tourism hadn’t beco a large trend or scale. Most visitors were on business trips or visiting friends and family, alongside so out-of-town visitors drawn by its fa.

The scenery here was beautiful, with pavilions, towers, small bridges, and flowing streams; the clear lakeside reflected the weeping willows, its leaves like a young girl’s eyebrows, swaying gently in the breezy, romantic air.

Above the shimring lake, little swallows circled up and down.

The buildings here boasted at least a 500-year history, with many popular stories and beautiful legends, though so were tragic.

Frequently, tragic stories are more captivating and touch people’s hearts.

Nearby this small scenic spot, Xiao Wen and Chu Chengfeng were with several youths from the Gu Family, attentively listening to the guide’s explanation.

Qiaoqiao and Luo Fan had left Jinling City one after another, so she continued touring with them.

Although Xiao Wen wasn’t emotional by nature, perhaps because of her simple character, she was easily moved. Gu Qianqian, well-read, and Lingling, gentle and timid, were both stirred to tears by this tragic tale.

Chu Chengfeng wasn’t particularly affected, but as long as he was with Xiao Wen, her mood influenced him. So he kept a serious face, listening intently, seemingly quite absorbed.

However, among those deeply engaged, Qin Xiaoyu and Gu Zishu were not included.

Both were looking around absentmindedly, clearly uninterested in the tragic story.

After a while, Zishu glanced at the family mbers listening attentively, feeling a bit disheartened. Fortunately, he had a like-minded partner—Qin Xiaoyu, who was in a similar situation and untouched by the tale.

Then, Zishu whispered a suggestion to Qin Xiaoyu standing beside him, "Why don’t we go check out the other side? I hear it’s more fun over there."

"Really?" Xiaoyu’s eyes brightened.

Zishu chuckled, "Why would I lie to you? I heard it from soone just now who ca from there, and I checked. It’s definitely more fun. They say there’s a string of copper bells outside the main hall. You can strike them with a stick, and they’ll make a whistling noise. This story is just for kids."

Qin Xiaoyu was intrigued, nodding while glancing at the others, especially at Lingling’s tearful face, she sneered, whispering, "Look at Lingling crying; did it ever occur to her this story might be fake?"

"Don’t worry about them. Let’s go check it out."

With that, Zishu stepped toward a small bridge ahead, and without hesitation, Xiaoyu followed him.

The two of them separated from the main group.

Standing on the bridge, Zishu hesitated and said softly, "Xiaoyu, we should tell Sister Xiao Wen and Big Brother Chu."

Qin Xiaoyu quickly shook her head, "Let’s not tell them yet, we’ll just take a look and co back."

Zishu didn’t think much about it; since Xiaoyu said not to tell them, he agreed, cheerfully leading Xiaoyu to the small scenic spot on the opposite side.

But they failed to notice several people following behind them.

The One-Eyed Dragon finally showed joy on his face. He had trailed them for several days, but they never separated, always sticking together. Catching them while playing outside had been impossible, and even less so at ho.

The leading woman was very beautiful, but any professional could see she wasn’t soone to ss with.

And the man beside her wouldn’t be easy to handle if it ca down to it.

Their info indicated they would be returning in two days.

If that happened, their plan would fail, and it wouldn’t be easy to explain to the young miss. This was the first task the young miss had assigned them.

If botched, they’d disgrace themselves and even their father’s reputation. Returning ho would surely result in a beating.

But, amid this predicant, unexpectedly, things took a turn, and they finally separated.

Moreover, Qin Xiaoyu was only accompanied by the rash young man, Gu Zishu.

Thus, the One-Eyed Dragon, whispering to the subordinate beside him, asked, "Is the car outside the park ready?"

The subordinate nodded, "Boss, it’s ready. Don’t worry; once they exit, they’ll be in the car imdiately."

"That’s good. Once in the car, not even an Immortal can catch us. We’ll stick to the original plan."

After saying this, the One-Eyed Dragon gestured, and then, with two subordinates, hastened toward Gu Zishu and Qin Xiaoyu, while several other subordinates positioned themselves at the agreed spot, ready to assist.

At this ti, a few clouds drifted over the originally clear skies, casting a slight gloom over the bright morning. A wind blew across the lakeside, carrying an understated chill.

anwhile, Gu Zishu and Qin Xiaoyu had already crossed the bridge over the lake and rged into the crowd.

The scenic spot in front was also crowded, but they hadn’t expected there to be an entry fee. Boldly, Zishu said, "Xiaoyu, wait here; I’ll buy two tickets."

Qin Xiaoyu grinned, "Okay, hurry up."

Zishu sprinted toward the ticket booth as Xiaoyu waited for him at the entrance.

Trailing all along, the One-Eyed Dragon clapped his hands, secretly praising; fate had indeed favored him, granting such a perfect opportunity. Thus, with a wave, the One-Eyed Dragon signaled the two subordinates to begin, following the predetermined script.
