Gu Zishu had also handled guns before, and he had practiced shooting with real bullets alongside his brother-in-law.

He knew he had to choose a favorable position, so in a split second, Gu Zishu rolled to Qin Xiaoyu’s side, quickly shielding her behind him. The two of them hid in a corner between the car seat and the car body. Gu Zishu then raised his handgun and shouted loudly, "Open the door and let us out!"

One-Eyed Dragon was stunned for a few seconds, standing still. Mazi was also standing next to One-Eyed Dragon at this mont, and he naturally couldn’t risk charging forward.

Both of them had handled guns before, and by Gu Zishu’s stance, they could tell he was familiar with guns. In fact, he was more than just familiar—even more skilled than they were.

This teenager might not even be an adult yet, but from the reckless way he chased them on a motorcycle, he might just dare to open fire.

At this mont, the woman on the ground groaned, "Boss, quick... let these two down..."

They were simply two bringers of bad luck.

One-Eyed Dragon kicked the woman in anger, cursing, "If we let these two down, we won’t get far either."

At this mont, Gu Zishu was like a general on a battlefield, holding the power over life and death. His voice was cold and arrogant as he commanded with the gun, "Open the door, or I will really shoot."

He had learned about self-defense from textbooks.

Just then, a red light suddenly flashed in front, and in the blink of an eye, flas surrounded the car.

Xiao Wen had arrived, riding the Fire Phoenix Bird.

When she saw Gu Zishu protecting Xiao Yu and aiming the gun at the people in the car, Xiao Wen’s heart tightened with fear. She didn’t have ti to warn Gu Zishu not to shoot. It wasn’t because she feared these villains, nor because she feared Gu Zishu would be held accountable if he fired.

After all, everything could be justified as self-defense.

But Gu Zishu was still young, and a child his age should not carry the burden of taking a life, especially since the military and police vehicles were almost upon them to resolve everything smoothly without needing Gu Zishu to act.

So, without hesitation, Xiao Wen flicked her fingers, sending a Spirit Talisman towards the car body they were leaning against. The talisman transford into a red sword, like a cutting machine, slicing away the part of the car Qin Xiaoyu and Gu Zishu were leaning on...

A few breaths later, Qin Xiaoyu and Gu Zishu, leaning against the car body, toppled over and rolled onto the road.

The people inside the car were stunned, blankly staring at the car body missing a side, not understanding what had happened, as a red glow appeared before them, and countless flas rose up.

Inside the carriage, it instantly beca a sea of fire.

This fire was strange, slithering like fiery snakes under their feet, yet it didn’t ignite anything inside the car.

At the sa ti, they couldn’t see who started the fire because Xiao Wen and the Fire Phoenix Bird were invisible by now.

Gu Zishu, who had fallen on the road, quickly pulled Qin Xiaoyu up to protect her behind him, then looked up at the sky. For so reason, he suddenly thought of Sister Xiao Wen. He knew she had a bird that could breathe fire.

Could it be that Sister Xiao Wen also ca?

Gu Zishu felt a rush of joy.

At this mont, the five people in the car were almost all injured. The only one unscathed, Mazi, held a knife, but the blade had lted in the fierce flas. His hand was scorched and he kept shaking it in pain, his pockmarked face looking increasingly ghastly.

anwhile, the fire seed to have a life of its own, encircling the five people.

Blocking all paths of retreat or advance!

Just then, the roar of a helicopter suddenly echoed from the sky ahead, followed by the wailing sirens of police cars behind.

One-Eyed Dragon peered through the flas in desperation to see several green military vehicles and police cars racing towards them.

And in front of him, a military-green helicopter was slowly descending.

For so reason, he even felt a gun was already aid at him from the helicopter.

One-Eyed Dragon forgot his pain, his mind repeatedly questioning whom he had provoked.

They had helicopters to block them, military vehicles and police chasing them, and even a shockingly strong teenager who shattered the windshield and took his gun.

What terrified him even more was, where did this fire, still burning, co from?

It felt like heavenly fire falling from the sky.

Whom had they really antagonized?

They thought it was just kidnapping a teenage girl. They had done it many tis without failing. Poor or rich households, they would kidnap anyone they encountered.

Their business model was no capital, all profit.

He knew Qin Xiaoyu had connections, being from the Qin Family of the Imperial Capital, but what of it? She was just a young, naïve girl unaware of the dangers of the world.

Drug her, take her away, scare her a bit, and she wouldn’t even dare to cry.

Then sell her to so remote, desolate mountain hundreds of miles away where she’d never be found, or even abroad, fetching a high price for such a fresh and beautiful girl.

Money was made, and the task for the lady was completed. As for the mbers of the Gu Family and Qin Family, even with great power, finding a person lost in an ocean of people wasn’t easy.

Even if found, it might be decades down the line.

But why?

The hallucinogen drug didn’t work on Qin Xiaoyu. She didn’t panic. Her hands were initially tightly bound, yet she managed to free them without them noticing.

And the Gu Family’s young man never gave up chasing them from behind.

They thought they could deal with him at Tiger Head Cliff, but instead, he dealt with them.

Soon thereafter, they were surrounded by military aircraft, military vehicles, and police.

Oh, and the sudden heavenly fire!

It lted Mazi’s knife and blocked their escape route. They dared not move—anything touched would burn them with excruciating pain.

What in the world had happened?

Was it really like the curse from the mother of the child they kidnapped before she died, predicting he’d pay for his despicable deeds, eventually facing retribution and dying painfully?

Is that what it was?

At this mont, One-Eyed Dragon had no answers, but he knew for sure that today he was utterly defeated.

With such an encirclent, even if they had wings, they couldn’t escape!

As this thought filled his mind, the helicopter landed at the intersection ahead, its powerful rotor winds swaying the small trees by the roadside, kicking up clouds of dust...
