anwhile, in Lijing Ho’s suite, looking at the docunt in front of her, Ouyang Rong smirked coldly and said in a slightly mocking tone, "I truly didn’t expect that there would be such capable people in the Central Plains."
"Yes, when we left, the Director told us not to act recklessly, just to find out who opened the Ti-Space Gate, then bring that person to the island, and avoid any unforeseen complications," San Qi reminded Ouyang Rong once again.
Ouyang Rong furrowed her brow, "It’s not that simple. Sect Leader Nie is dead, and this lead is broken. We have to search again. I didn’t expect the Mystic Sect from back then to be so fragnted now. It’s challenging to get things done."
San Qi glanced tentatively at Ouyang Rong, "Miss, we’ve been here for over half a month. What should we do next?"
Ouyang Rong took another careful look at the materials, waved her right hand, and a transparent slip of paper appeared in her palm. The characters on the paper seed to move. She quickly scanned it, then put it away, and said thoughtfully, "Although the Mystic Sect has declined, its people are everywhere. Sect Leader Nie is dead, but Dongfang Yu is still alive. Let’s find ti to et him."
"I’ll arrange it now."
They had already inquired about everything. So things might seem reasonable to others, but to them, there were many mysteries, and they could easily figure out the connections. From what was known, the only one with so depth was the girl nad Gu Qiaoqiao.
The others didn’t pose much threat, but Dongfang Yu should not be underestimated either.
Ouyang Rong pondered for a mont, "Don’t seek out Dongfang Yu yet. I believe the key figure is Gu Qiaoqiao. Why do I feel like the one who can open the Ti-Space Gate is that woman nad Gu Qiaoqiao?"
San Qi disagreed, "Miss, although Gu Qiaoqiao has so unusual abilities, everything else about her is ordinary. She’s not like you—how could she possibly have such heaven-defying capabilities?"
"Even if it isn’t Gu Qiaoqiao, I still want to et her."
"Miss, didn’t the Master tell you not to provoke people from the special departnts?" San Qi imdiately saw what Ouyang Rong was thinking—pretending to see Gu Qiaoqiao while actually coveting Qin Yize—and had to warn her.
Ouyang Rong’s expression changed; she hadn’t expected Qin Yize’s identity and position to be so complicated. This made things difficult, taking such a prominent person away without cause was not easy.
Historically, people of the Mystic Sect never opposed those from special departnts. They coexisted without interfering with each other, which was an ancestral rule that had to be upheld, or disaster would follow.
Still, after so many years, finally encountering such an exceptional man, it was hard to let go just like that. Among the n Ouyang Rong had gathered, none were like Qin Yize, so her heart was continuously tempted.
However, she also knew that Qin Yize’s wife, Gu Qiaoqiao, was not easy to deal with.
Really, the heavens weren’t fair. Finally eting a good man, yet he had married a woman from the Mystic Sect. If she were an ordinary person, it would have been much simpler, even if his identity was special, there would have been ways to sort things out.
Ouyang Rong lowered her head, hiding her thoughts. She feigned calmness and said, "San Qi, you’re overthinking it. I’ll listen to father, but I truly want to et Gu Qiaoqiao."
In fact, she and Gu Qiaoqiao had a confrontation the first ti they t at the entrance of Lijing Ho.
During this ti, she knew Gu Qiaoqiao was aware of her existence, and conversely, she too was aware of Gu Qiaoqiao’s existence.
San Qi thought it over, and letting the Miss have a eting with Gu Qiaoqiao might not be a bad thing. After all, Gu Qiaoqiao represented the Mystic Sect people from the Imperial Capital. When the Master returned to the Central Plains, these people would beco his subordinates, so they would need to interact.
Letting them know Ouyang Rong’s identity in advance was fine.
So San Qi nodded in agreent, "I’ll make arrangents."
Ouyang Rong waved her hand. San Qi exited the room, and Ouyang Rong stood up from the sofa, walked to the cabinet, opened the door, and took out a box. Inside was a small porcelain bottle; she then curled her mouth into a mysterious smile.
Just then, there ca a fluttering noise from the window, and Ouyang Rong looked up to see the Flying ssenger Bird responsible for delivering ssages had returned.
Ouyang Rong quickly opened the window, and the Flying ssenger Bird flew in, landing on the windowsill.
This small bird had yellow feathers, with a single red feather atop its head. Its eyes were black, like glass, looking very pretty, clean all over. Unlike carrier pigeons, it wasn’t strapped with any ssage-transmitting items, so why was it called a Flying ssenger Bird?
Then, in the next mont, she saw Ouyang Rong casually swipe her finger in the air and press it on the red feather. Suddenly, the bird opened its beak and spat out a glowing sphere, which hovered in mid-air. Ouyang Rong released her hand, took the floating light sphere, squeezed it, causing it to explode, and nurous threads gathered in the air, weaving into a paper-like form.
Ouyang Rong grabbed the paper, looked at it closely, and her brows relaxed as she read.
In the sa manner, she wrote a reply, opened the window, and the Flying ssenger Bird flew toward the distant island, while Ouyang Rong called over Ba Jiao, who was staying next door, and instructed softly, "I have a phone number here. Go contact soone nad Luo Er. He can assist us in what we’re doing, as father said."
Ba Jiao glanced at the phone number, morized it, and then went next door to make the call. Ouyang Rong muttered to herself, "I really didn’t expect the Gu Family to have such a treasure. The Hundred Miles of Mountains Map—just the na sounds valuable."
But without seeing the real item, it was impossible to imagine how the secrets within the Hundred Miles of Mountains Map were unveiled.
Originally, she didn’t want to deal with Gu Qiaoqiao; she just wanted to compete and see her real strength, also to vent her suppressed anger. After all, she was sowhat jealous that such a good man had beco Gu Qiaoqiao’s husband.
Moreover, it was said that the two were very much in love.
This, Ouyang Rong believed, as she had witnessed it herself.
She hated seeing loving couples and enjoyed breaking up those who were said to be in love, as it gave her a sense of accomplishnt.
Unfortunately, she couldn’t make a move on them just yet.
