Now reading: Chapter 1488: Qin Yize Trapped in the Void from Rebirth: He refused to Divorce Again, a Romance novel by Joe Yishui.

He didn’t even dare to imagine what Gu Qiaoqiao would do because of this.

Most importantly, Qiaoqiao was his life, a softspot in his heart, and now drifting alone in the lonely darkness, an endless void with only him; even if his consciousness was awake, how was that any different from being dead?

This was sothing he could not endure.

And he couldn’t let Qiaoqiao forget him!

Absolutely not!

So after suppressing the initial sadness and despair, he calmly analyzed his current environnt.

Qin Yize had read many reports on this subject, whether fabricated by humans or genuinely experienced by so, he knew that human consciousness and thought were actually an energy sphere, that is, what people referred to in the past as the soul.

So now it was foreseeable that he must have had his soul leave his body.

What was the cause?

Before he was engulfed by darkness, he saw that black vortex, and also witnessed a scene that once pained his heart deeply, and he also saw that black stone.

He rembered that back when he was at the bottom of the river in Border City, he had experienced sothing similar and fell into a coma, and it was Gu Qiaoqiao who brought him away from that vortex.

Qin Yize didn’t know what his body had gone through, but he knew his consciousness was no longer in his body, so he must be unconscious, and he thought Qiaoqiao must know this.

And now, Gu Qiaoqiao must be by his side, trying everything to find a way to regain his consciousness.

Waiting helplessly was not in his nature.

So, what thod should he use now to return to his body?

His consciousness was alert, not lost in chaos, so survival was possible.

Having understood all of this, Qin Yize cald down, and it all took just a blink of an eye.

In this dark space, everything was at a standstill.

Qin Yize thought he could understand this as a black hole in ti and space, or the torrent of ti, being trapped in this void.

The darkness was boundless, endless, with no directions, no sunrise or sunset, only his senses.

His consciousness floated at the edge of this darkness, using all his learned perception skills to find a possible way out.

At the sa ti, he was lonely, with no other energy as he imagined.

In the endless darkness, there was no direction to be found.

Qin Yize rembered the Wolf’s Fang he wore, which had a drop of Gu Qiaoqiao’s fingertip blood; perhaps he could sense Qiaoqiao’s presence through this.

Wherever Qiaoqiao’s presence was, that was his and Qiaoqiao’s ho.

But now he should be formless, naturally, the Wolf’s Fang wouldn’t be here either, so how could he perceive it?

Thinking of this, Qin Yize suddenly knew what to do.

He focused all his attention on sketching the shape of that Wolf’s Fang...

In the fragnted consciousness, suddenly in front of the darkness, Qin Yize saw a tiny glimr of red light.

Qin Yize was delighted; undoubtedly, he had sensed Qiaoqiao’s presence on the Wolf’s Fang, which was that drop of fingertip blood.

Without any hesitation, Qin Yize, driven by instinct, rushed toward that red glimr.

...

The next morning, just after Gu Qiaoqiao finished breakfast, people sent by Elder Shen arrived.

Both were in their early twenties, one tall, the other short, with ordinary appearances. However, judging by their sharp eyes and straight postures, Gu Qiaoqiao knew they were definitely skilled.

Qin Yize’s report wouldn’t be available until the afternoon, and Gu Qiaoqiao knew that they had enough ti to get things done in the morning.

So, after giving Xiao Shuang a few simple instructions, she followed the two out of the hospital, where a car was parked, driven by them.

At this ti, the driver was the taller young man.

Throughout the ride, he didn’t say much, clearly soone who wasn’t talkative, whereas the shorter one was much more lively.

Through introductions, Gu Qiaoqiao learned that the tall one was called Xiao Guo, and the shorter one Da Liu.

Both had interesting nas.

It was evident they had received orders from their superiors, thus heading straight to their destination.

Soon, they arrived in front of a building where Tian Cheng lived on the third floor. The three got out of the car and headed towards the stairway.

Here and there, the two subtly shielded Gu Qiaoqiao in the middle.

This was because Gu Qiaoqiao was also an important person to protect.

Everything was actually quite normal, without the tension or ambush one might imagine, and they smoothly knocked on the door, which was opened by a man in his sixties.

He looked at the three, frowning, "Wasn’t I told only one person would see ? Why three, and why bring a girl?"

The elderly man was not tall, rather thin, speaking with a regional accent in his Mandarin.

At this point, Da Liu spoke cheerfully, "Grandpa Tian, the higher-ups already entrusted this task to the three of us. You only need to tell us what you know; the rest isn’t your concern."

The old man’s deanor changed from tense and uneasy to slowly relaxing. He didn’t linger in small talk but said directly, "You need to find Huang Tiekou at Wude Lane and ask him about the Shock Thunder Talisman, weather deduction, the Northern Granary fire; he will know what’s going on."

Gu Qiaoqiao’s eyes darkened; it was indeed Huang Tiekou.

But Huang Tiekou lived in Sky Sea City and should have nothing to do with the North. Even with phone connections now, there would have been many people needed to communicate and coordinate to accomplish such a thing.

And given Huang Tiekou’s personality, he didn’t seem bold enough to do sothing that might land him in life imprisonnt.

After thinking for a mont, Gu Qiaoqiao asked Tian Cheng, "Sir, has Huang Tiekou always been in Sky Sea City?"

"No, he just returned from the North recently. Don’t worry; the information I provided is definitely accurate. Though he isn’t the doer, he knows the inside story."

Without waiting for the three to speak, Old Man Tian continued, "I don’t have precise contact information for him, but he was once my fellow disciple, and I’ve analyzed the situation, so I’m sure the Northern Granary fire is connected to him one hundred percent. You should go, you won’t run into empty hands. He’s especially a believer in karma, so he definitely won’t flee."
