The two of them went downstairs, and before they reached the first floor, they stopped at a corner. Gu Qiaoqiao saw that the three n had indeed co in, with their wings behind them flapping without restraint. Strangely, the wings seed to have no physical form and could pass through any object as they moved.
Gu Qiaoqiao wondered if Zhou Xia could see the wings on these three n’s backs. After thinking for a bit, she pulled Zhou Xia along and continued downstairs, reaching the carpet in the hall within seconds.
She then fixed her gaze on the three n standing in front of a relief sculpture, confirming that there was indeed sothing amiss with it.
Gu Qiaoqiao casually set up a Barrier Talisman for Zhou Xia and threw one for herself as well, then strode towards the three n.
Zhou Xia seed to be in a nightmare; she felt like she was sleepwalking, that everything was false, unreal. She kept telling herself she was dreaming, which is why she was muddled as Gu Qiaoqiao pulled her along. But then she saw a familiar figure and blurted out, "Danny!"
At that mont, they were only about ten ters away. Zhou Xia then fearfully covered her mouth; her voice had been quite loud, but the three n didn’t seem to hear it. At this point, Zhou Xia still couldn’t see the wings on their backs; only Gu Qiaoqiao could.
Gu Qiaoqiao was confident that her invisible state would prevent the three n from seeing her. What concerned her now was what exactly these three were planning to do, and what would happen after the switch was activated. Or perhaps these n were releasing sothing first, or maybe they were just scouting ahead. Gu Qiaoqiao leaned towards the latter possibility.
A terrified Zhou Xia held her lips tightly, incredulous at the scene before her. It was then she finally realized this wasn’t a dream.
This was real!
Then Zhou Xia saw Danny walking straight towards them. At this point, she was so frightened that her body beca rigid, unable to move. But unexpectedly, Danny seed not to see her and walked past her.
He was going to fetch a chair, as even with their height, they couldn’t reach the switch.
What an interesting setup. Was the original designer two and a half ters tall?

Zhou Xia stared blankly at Gu Qiaoqiao!
Her gaze was full of confusion, bewildernt, and shock.
She didn’t understand how she had beco invisible. She was wearing pajamas, while Gu Qiaoqiao had changed into an overcoat. But that surely wasn’t an invisibility cloak, so how did they turn invisible?
Nonetheless, one had to admire Zhou Xia. With her heart so big, she was more curious about the invisibility than the fact that her lover suddenly appeared in her ho like a thief.
Soon, Danny brought a chair and placed it under the wall’s relief. They didn’t seem in a hurry, perhaps confident in themselves because they had used magic to put the Ancient Castle to sleep, sure that no one would wake up. But how could they have imagined that two girls were watching them intently just five ters away...
At this mont, Gu Qiaoqiao really wanted to reveal herself and give them a scare.
If she didn’t want to hear what they were saying, our Miss Gu would definitely have done so.
Yet they didn’t press the round stone right away; instead, they started chattering away. Gu Qiaoqiao didn’t look at the three n anymore, only observing Zhou Xia’s expression.
The expression on Zhou Xia’s face was quite remarkable.
Confusion, bewildernt, anger, pain...
It was quite complex.
Gu Qiaoqiao pondered for a mont and decided to let Zhou Xia see through it all in one go. She suddenly reached out, covered Zhou Xia’s eyes, then released them.
In that instant of release, Zhou Xia’s face turned as pale as a ghost, but her eyes widened in disbelief at the scene before her.
She clearly saw that the three people in front of her had black wings on their backs and blurted out, "Black Angels?"
Then she covered her mouth again.
Gu Qiaoqiao pulled her hand down and said, "Don’t worry, they can’t see us nor hear us. By the way, you said Black Angels, what does that an? Are they transford from Black Crows?"
"Black Crows?"
Zhou Xia murmured, puzzled. At this ti, the three n stopped talking and fell silent facing the wall, seemingly contemplating whether to press the switch.
The room fell silent.
Zhou Xia clearly heard her own thumping, frantic heartbeat. Everything before her eyes overturned her previous understanding; her intimate lover suddenly had two wings, and black ones at that. Was he the legendary Black Angel?
But Qiaoqiao said they were Black Crows.
Zhou Xia couldn’t quite articulate her emotions at this mont: she wanted to cry, yell, and confront them, but truly didn’t have the courage, instinctively inching closer to Gu Qiaoqiao.
However, neither of them spoke further as the three n began talking again. Zhou Xia clenched her hands tightly at her side; with Gu Qiaoqiao standing beside her, she felt sowhat better. For so unknown reason, although she was scared, she didn’t feel that kind of fear, and her body felt warm, as if sothing was soothing her heart.
Her heart gradually cald down.
But the more she listened, the worse her expression beca, until finally, she was clenching her teeth in fury.
In the end, Danny still hadn’t pressed the switch.
Gu Qiaoqiao wasn’t sure why but saw Danny move the chair back. Then the three n looked around, and Gu Qiaoqiao noticed Danny standing near a potted plant in the hall, gazing upwards towards Zhou Xia’s bedroom.
Did he intend to go up?
Gu Qiaoqiao frowned slightly; if Danny went up, she would definitely stop him.
However, Danny only stood there in a daze for a few seconds while the two others whispered under the wall. Then the three n gathered and started heading towards the castle’s entrance.
Were they about to leave?
The wings on these individuals already carried so malevolent energy; Gu Qiaoqiao would not attract more negative aura towards them. That might instead help them, making them even more powerful.
However, Gu Qiaoqiao couldn’t just let the three of them go so easily.
And naturally, Zhou Xia didn’t dare move a muscle; she couldn’t stop the three of them either.
