Gu Junbai responded softly with a slight movent of his eyebrow, barely noticeable. Danny’s actions were still considered prudent, not letting his energy exceed controllable limits; otherwise, it would have really been discovered.
If that happened, this grassland would never be peaceful again, and that was not the outco he wanted. Fortunately, no one except him could perceive it.
"Master, do you think they will bring that Arctic Wolf back? To be honest, I’ve never seen such a beautiful wolf before."
Xiao Bai continued to chatter on.
Gu Junbai did not reply to Xiao Bai’s words but softly said, "I would rather they don’t bring it back."
Saying this, he turned and went into the house.

Qiaoze Ranch once again fell into silence.
anwhile, in an unknown valley, Danny finally gently lowered the mystical staff. The night wind was bleak, and unknowingly, over two hours had passed.
It was too late; he should take Zhou Xia back now.
At this mont, Zhou Xia’s eyes were sparkling, like they were filled with stars, reminiscent of when he first t her.
He reached out to hold Zhou Xia’s hand again, his wings still gently fluttering. Danny’s deep and lodious voice sounded in Zhou Xia’s ear, "Xia Xia, let’s go back."
Zhou Xia slowly looked up at Danny, who was gazing at her. Looking into each other’s eyes, Zhou Xia felt that Danny’s eyes were so desolate, as if a thousand years had passed with just one look. Zhou Xia tightly grasped at her chest, not knowing why she felt this way, clearly, Danny was so young, yet at this mont he seed so old and worn.
Zhou Xia hastily turned her head away from looking at Danny. The deep affection in his eyes was sothing she couldn’t bear right now, nor was there any need to understand it.
Danny slightly curled his lips, then flapped his wings and slowly took off, turning as he had co, carrying Zhou Xia towards Qiaoze Ranch. If not for the white wolf’s green eyes looking at her and the drops of blood on the snow, Zhou Xia wouldn’t have noticed.
Zhou Xia suddenly tugged on Danny, pointing below, and said, "Did you see that? There’s an injured wolf on the west side of the valley entrance, its fur is white. If I’m not mistaken, it should be an Arctic Wolf."
She had seen them in a wildlife park in Northern Europe.
But sohow she recognized it at a glance.
Danny had seen it when Zhou Xia spoke, a hint of astonishnt flashed in his eyes. However, he slowly descended with Zhou Xia, getting closer for a clearer view. A small white wolf lay on the snow with mottled blood, staining the snow all over.
Zhou Xia was about to rush over but was stopped by Danny, who softly said, "Stay here and don’t move, I’ll go check."
This was a wild white wolf; even injured, it’s still a wolf, and there is still a danger present.
She stopped, not insisting.
Being in the wild, he also knew these white wolves were highly aggressive.
Upon closer inspection, the white wolf’s front paw was severely injured, looking as if it was at death’s door. Its green eyes were shining with unknown light—pleading, vigilant, or sothing else?
At this mont, Danny clenched his fists. He wasn’t one to ddle in other people’s affairs ordinarily. If he saw this white wolf by himself, he maybe would have turned and left; survival of the fittest is the natural order in this world.
He turned to look at Zhou Xia, hesitated for a mont, and finally said, "It’s injured, but it can be saved."
"Can we take it with us?" Zhou Xia asked, frowning and looking around, knowing it would be difficult, "If we can’t take it, then forget it,"
Her voice grew very soft at the end, being blown away by the night wind.
Danny looked at the staff in his hand, hesitated for a mont, and finally made a decision, "We can take it."
Zhou Xia’s eyes lit up, and her tightly furrowed brow gradually relaxed, a slight smile appearing at the corners of her mouth.
Danny also smiled along.
Then he waved the staff, and stretched out his hand, which Zhou Xia knew what to do, putting her small hand into his, then being tightly held. Danny used his left hand to lift the fur on the back of the white wolf’s neck. The white wolf seed to know soone wanted to save it, so it rely glanced at Danny and seed very reassured, shutting its eyes.
Enormous wings flapped gently, slowly rising into mid-air, forming a protective bubble around them, which beca slightly larger.
Zhou Xia watched the tips of flowers and grass passing quickly beneath her feet, the rolling hills, the frozen streams that no longer flowed, and occasionally even the startled wild rabbits they sent scurrying in the snow under the night sky.
She even saw a pack of wolves running in the snowy wilderness.
Zhou Xia thought, if it were sumr, this would undoubtedly be a stunning view.
At this mont, Zhou Xia seed to forget a lot, looking at Danny who gazed at her lovingly, and for a mont even hoped they would continue flying like this endlessly.
But thinking this way was wrong; it was a betrayal of her mother, a tolerance of selfish and cruel behavior, sothing her life principles wouldn’t allow to happen.
Zhou Xia pressed her red lips together tightly, forcibly turning her gaze away.
The glow in Danny’s eyes dimd little by little as they approached Qiaoze Ranch.
The gate of Qiaoze Ranch might be a turning point in his life, reflecting that what was once lost and never regained didn’t deserve to be owned, highlighted in that very mont.
He so wished to fly in the wrong direction, also wishing he and Zhou Xia could fly together like this endlessly.
Flying across the grassland, across winter, across the mundane world, together forever, even if there was an injured, obtrusive white wolf beside them, it would be sweet nonetheless.
