But overhearing was one thing. Mei Mengzhen was really curious, "How did you know he was faking it?"

"My classmate has fainted before, in all kinds of ways, and this is obviously an act. He’s just looking to garner sympathy from those who didn’t notice," she snorted.

Fan Tianhua frowned, "But why would he pretend? There’s no need for it. Losing a son already makes him pitiful enough, why fake a faint?"

"Isn’t it obvious, he must be plotting something shady again," Mei Mengzhen said coldly, her gaze fixed in Mei Yongfu’s direction. "As long as it doesn’t involve me, I don’t care. But if it does, I’ll make sure he regrets it."

Mei Mengzhen instinctively felt that if Mei Yongfu was up to something, it would only be related to her and her brother, hence her mood also sank.

Then he tugged at Mei Mengzhen’s clothes, and when she bent down, he quickly said, "Sister, Chenchen is a bit hungry."

"Actually, Sister is hungry too; we ate too early this morning." Mei Mengzhen thought for a moment and then said to the two behind her, "What if we go to the car to eat some bread and then e back?"

Wang Qiuhe was already hungry, but felt awkward to mention it. Seeing Mengzhen suggest it, she immediately agreed, "Okay, sure."

Fan Tianhua had no objection, so they all left to go eat bread in the car.

The car wasn’t far from the FEN area, meaning they could see activity around Mei Yongfu’s location and likewise could be seen too. Fan Tianhua thought this wasn’t good, so she suggested, "Let’s take it with us and eat as we walk, to avoid being talked about later."

This time Mei Mengzhen took the largest piece of bread, sharing half with Mei Mengchen. Wang Qiuhe and Fan Tianhua each took a bread of their own, and they all grabbed a few bottles of water and walked back to where they were standing before.

Just as Mei Mengzhen opened her water, Fan Tianyu came over, snatched the bottle from her hand, and took a big gulp, "Ahh, I’m dying of thirst."

Fan Tianhua saw it as no big deal, "But you haven’t done anything."
