The knocking echoed.

He stood next to Bai Xiao and put an arm around her shoulders, their closeness casting a doubtful look on Bai Song’s face.
"You two haven’t been fighting, have you?"
Something felt off.
Bai Xiao smirked, "Big Brother, not at all. My husband wouldn’t dare argue with me. Besides, he can’t win against me!" she blatantly lied.
He couldn’t win against her in arguments, but every time, it would be through physical domination. His stamina was infuriating, and in the end, it was always she who begged for mercy.
"Yeah! I wouldn’t dare argue with her. Our household’s queen is none other than Doctor Bai!" An Zhiyuan said suggestively, glancing at Bai Xiao. His gaze gently swept across her chest where the neckline showed a hint of a red mark, a remnant of his doing from the night before. As Bai Song bent over to change his shoes, An Zhiyuan deftly adjusted Bai Xiao’s neckline.
Bai Xiao suddenly realized An Zhiyuan’s intention and shot him an annoyed glare. It was all his fault, after all.
"Queen? Bai Xiao, is this how you bully An Zhiyuan? I might have to criticize you for that..." Bai Song stepped in, intending to keep the peace.
"Who’s bullying our Bai Xiao? Who dares to bully our granddaughter? Just watch me teach them a lesson!" Two people pushed past Bai Song and barged in.
They almost knocked Bai Song off his feet.
Clutching the nearby wardrobe for balance, he quickly looked up. Who were these people, haphazardly claiming kinship?
How did his sister suddenly bee their granddaughter? Was there no law and order anymore?
Looking up in bewilderment, he saw an elderly couple with white hair, looking earnestly at Bai Xiao, as if she were braised pork – the kind they drooled over.
