Miss Situ walked in with her maid, her steps light and graceful.
Long Yi imdiately stood up from his seat upon seeing her, walked respectfully to Xuexue’s side, and said in an incredibly flattering tone, "Miss, here is the dowry list, please keep it safe."
After saying this, he presented the book in front of Xuexue with a fawning expression.
His deanor was so servile, completely different from how he was when talking to Situ Yongjie and the Old Madam earlier.
Situ Yongjie and the Old Madam were utterly stunned by Long Yi’s quick change in attitude.

Following his gaze, Xuexue noticed the greedy look in the Old Madam’s eyes. Almost reflexively, she reached out and took the list from Long Yi’s hands, carefully folding it and placing it in her bosom, "Alright!"
Long Yi felt helpless regarding Xuexue’s change of heart.
Apparently, the Miss was just like the Master, unable to tolerate others coveting his possessions.
