Mo Daoyan felt a breeze pass over his head; before he could react, his headscarf was already snatched away by Old Lady Mo.

Old Lady Mo felt a sting; she blad her current predicant on that wretched woman, Madam Xie.
“As a son, not helping your mother vent her anger and instead mocking her—are you really my son?” Old Lady Mo glared at Mo Daoyan with her sharp triangular eyes.
“Mother’s implying I should go beat Madam Xie?”
“Exactly, that wretched woman won’t know fear until she gets a proper beating.”
Old Lady Mo thought Madam Xie was as easy to bully as before, soone she could hit and curse as she pleased. In her mind, the hardest person to deal with at the Xie Residence was that dead girl Xuexue. As long as she’s not around, everything in the Xie Residence was theirs for the taking, and Madam Xie wouldn’t dare utter a word.
She would settle the score for being rendered not quite like a ghost or a human sooner or later; she definitely wouldn’t let Madam Xie have good days, Old Lady Mo silently resolved in her heart.

Old Lady Mo couldn’t believe it; that little wench had been bullied by her for over a decade without daring to resist, and now, after just a few months, she mustered the courage to wield a knife? No matter what Madam Ruan said, she refused to believe it.

“That wretched woman has gone too far.” Old Lady Mo turned to leave angrily but suddenly rembered her unsightly bald head. She imdiately turned back and grabbed the headscarf Mo Daoyan had just wrapped around his head.
“Mother, what are you doing?”
“Why wrap it at ho? Lend it to mother for a bit, I’ll return it to you later.” Old Lady Mo said while wrapping the headscarf around her head.
After finishing, she walked out.
Watching Old Lady Mo’s departing figure, Mo Daoyan felt concerned because she was his mother after all, “Mother’s going alone to the Xie Residence. Will she suffer?”
Madam Ruan, still annoyed with Old Lady Mo for selfishly eating all the at and leaving none for them, sarcastically said, “Worried she’ll suffer? Then go with her!”
Recalling the scene of being chased by Madam Xie a few days ago, Mo Daoyan shivered and shook his head vigorously, “I won’t go; Madam Xie is like a tigress now. Anyone who provokes her is dood.”
