“Mother is also our family!”

“No matter what, she’s still my mother.”
“Fine, go live with your mother, then. Don’t live with anymore.” Madam Ruan stord off angrily.
“Wife, wife, wait for .” Mo Daoyan hurriedly chased after her.
“Go live with your mother. Why follow ?”
“Wife, don’t be mad. I won’t give her food anymore.”
“Really?” Madam Ruan stopped walking and looked at Mo Daoyan with a suspicious face.
Mo Daoyan nodded, “Whatever you say, dear.”
“That’s more like it.” Madam Ruan nodded satisfactorily, then added, “That old woman got what she deserved. Our family wouldn’t be in this situation if it weren’t for her. Husband, I’m telling you, even if we don’t give her anything to eat, no one will care. The village head has already chased her out; even if she dies of hunger, it has nothing to do with us.”

As they spoke, they walked ho together.

Mo Daoyan wasn’t as indulgent toward his daughter as Madam Ruan was. He scolded her harshly, “Why are you so anxious? If things have co to this, isn’t it your own doing? As a girl, having no sense of sha, doing such shaless things with a man before marrying… you’ve disgraced our family. Yet you still have the nerve to put yourself out there.”
“Mother, do you think Father is speaking like a human?” Mo Xiuzhi stomped her feet in discontent.
