After a few days, news of Consort Rou’s critical illness spread throughout the Imperial Palace. The Second Prince, upon hearing this, beca extrely anxious and imdiately rushed to the palace to visit his Mother Consort.
Due to the Second Prince’s status, Consort Rou had recently ascended from Noble Consort Pin to Third Rank Primary Lady, enjoying her days of prosperity. Yet, out of nowhere, she beca gravely ill, and even the Imperial Physicians could not determine the cause.

This newly constructed palace appeared with pavilions and towers, ticulously arranged with elegance. Though not as luxurious as other palaces, being a master of her own palace was already a supre honor for Consort Rou.
On the bed in the chamber lay a frail beauty. Her figure was slightly thin, with exquisite features, her cherry-like lips sowhat pale, and her cheeks deeply sunken. The eyes that usually sparkled were now void, her lips slightly moving, seemingly wanting to say sothing to the nearby palace maid.
"Consort, do you wish to say sothing? Would you like so water?" The palace maid leaned close to her, inquiring.

"Consort, don’t worry, I have already sent soone to call him."
"Hasten... have him hurry... I’m... afraid... afraid... I won’t hold on for long." Consort Rou had a foreboding sense that her end was near.

Since then, their lives improved, but compared to other princes, his circumstances remained quite ager. Nevertheless, he and his Mother Consort were content.
"It’s nothing. I’ve been a bit unwell these past couple of days and haven’t eaten much. Once my health improves, I’ll eat well and regain my vitality. You’ve grown into a man now; don’t shed tears casually, understand?"
The Second Prince raised his arm to wipe away his tears, sniffled, nodded, and said, "Mm, understood, Mother Consort. You need to get better quickly."
With the palace maid’s assistance, Consort Rou sat up, her back supported by pillows, reclining half-upright on the bed: "Yu’er!"
Second Prince: "Mm!"
Consort Rou: "There’s sothing I wish to seek your opinion on."
Second Prince: "What is it?"
