While deep in thought, he sensed movent beneath his feet. Looking down, he saw that the Weirdo had sohow returned and was quietly watching him by his feet. Celestial Master Zhang was startled: "How did you walk so fast without making any sound?"
The Weirdo seed accustod to it and didn’t mind, saying: "Look at my appearance, can I make any sound while walking? No feet, rember? Brother, I see you’re hungry too, eat sothing before you leave!"
After speaking, he threw a rabbit from his mouth at Celestial Master Zhang’s feet.
Celestial Master Zhang was completely stunned. Would this Weirdo demand that he drink blood like him?
"Brother, I... I don’t have the habit of drinking blood." Celestial Master Zhang spoke hesitantly. What was this Weirdo up to? Wasn’t he supposed to lead him out of the forest? Why was he making him drink rabbit blood instead? Was it that if he didn’t drink, he wouldn’t be allowed to leave?
"This is the Deep Mountains and Ancient Forests; how can you have the strength to walk out if you’re not full? Go ahead, eat, don’t be shy." The Weirdo who was full of smiles a mont ago suddenly had his face turn stern.
On the Weirdo’s turf, Celestial Master Zhang, rely a weak scholar, dared not resist. He had to bend over, and hesitantly picked up the rabbit from the ground, looking at it over and over, yet unable to take a bite.
The Weirdo lay on the ground, watching him with eyes wide open, enthusiastically saying: "Eat it, go on, it’s delicious, so fresh and sweet."
Celestial Master Zhang looked down at the furry rabbit, feeling disheartened. A cooked rabbit is indeed delicious, but eating it raw, when it’s furry and bloody—just imagining it is disgusting. Delicious? Sweet? Had he not just seen the Weirdo drink rabbit blood, he might have suspected that the Weirdo was deliberately tornting him.
The Weirdo’s voice turned cold: "What’s wrong? Not giving face?"
At this mont, the wolf finished the rabbit and returned to the Weirdo’s side, its green eyes staring at Celestial Master Zhang, seemingly waiting for the Weirdo to give the command to pounce and tear him apart.
Celestial Master Zhang’s calves trembled, feeling a bit regretful. Had he known, he’d have hidden in the tree and avoided the danger he faced now. But things had co to this point, leaving him no retreat. He hurriedly said, "No, no, you’ve misunderstood, that’s not what I ant."
The Weirdo glared his eyes, saying sowhat unhappily, "Then hurry up and eat. Don’t be ignorant of the blessing. Even Xiao Hei doesn’t have this treatnt."
Celestial Master Zhang was puzzled as to why Xiao Hei didn’t get his treatnt.
The Weirdo muttered to himself: "Every ti I only let Xiao Hei eat after I finish drinking the blood. This rabbit hasn’t been drained yet; you should be grateful."
Celestial Master Zhang was close to tears. Who cared about rabbit blood? He just wanted to leave this damned place quickly and return to the civilized world.
But, the Weirdo and wolf were intently watching him! There was absolutely no chance to escape.
In desperation, Celestial Master Zhang had a clever idea. Suddenly, he put down the rabbit and bent over to gather firewood from the ground, piling it together. Then, he took out a flint from his chest and struck it forcefully, lighting the gathered wood.
Celestial Master Zhang didn’t notice that at the mont he put down the rabbit, the Weirdo lying on the ground showed a fierce look in his eyes. Only when he saw that Celestial Master Zhang wasn’t running away, but gathering firewood, did his expression relax, calmly staying by the side to see what the man intended to do.
Afraid that the Weirdo would force him to eat rabbit at raw, Celestial Master Zhang worked swiftly and deftly, quickly handling the rabbit’s innards and hanging it over the fire to roast.
A gentle breeze blew through, and the forest was filled with the fragrant aroma of roasting at. The Weirdo and wolf stared eagerly at the rabbit hanging over the fire, drooling uncontrollably...
