"Have you found out if the Master went to stay at another inn?" In the hall, Celestial Master Zhang asked the steward standing with his hands at his sides.
Steward: "Reporting to the Heavenly Master, I have already checked all the inns in the Capital and indeed found no trace of Young Master Zhao."
Celestial Master Zhang’s brows furrowed tighter and tighter, then he asked, "When did the Master leave?"
Steward: "According to the inn’s Shopkeeper, he left right after I visited yesterday."
Celestial Master Zhang looked at the steward with suspicion and asked, "What did you say to the Master that made him leave right after interacting with you?"
Upon hearing this, the steward felt a bit frightened. However, upon thinking it over, Lin Kong had already left, and, as the saying goes, the dead bear no witness. Hence, he raised his head and replied calmly, "I didn’t say much, just invited him to co to the Celestial Master’s Mansion, but Young Master Zhao refused, saying he was unavailable. I pleaded with him repeatedly, but he still wouldn’t agree, so I had no choice but to leave."
Lady Zhang, standing beside, listened to the steward’s words and stealthily gave a thumbs up behind Celestial Master Zhang.
The steward glanced briefly, then lowered his head.
Being a servant caught between the madam and the Heavenly Master is not easy; he cannot offend either one, as offending either ans certain doom.
Celestial Master Zhang: "Enough, enough. The Master is highly skilled but eccentric, can’t bla you all."
Inwardly, the steward secretly sighed in relief. As long as the Heavenly Master didn’t suspect him, staying on as steward at the Celestial Master’s Mansion wasn’t easy.
Lady Zhang was inwardly delighted, having finally managed to send Lin Kong away.
"Old Master, don’t be upset. Young Master Zhao left, so let him be. Our days go on just the sa."

The matter of the Thousand Year Striped Tiger still had no results; Celestial Master Zhang had hoped to rely on the Master to find it. Now, with the Master gone, he was extrely distressed.

"Old Master, you can’t go on like this. It’s not worth harming your health over Young Master Zhao."
"I’m going to the study, don’t bother ." With that, Celestial Master Zhang stood up and walked away, back turned and hands clasped behind him.
Lady Zhang stood on the spot, watching the Old Master’s figure gradually disappear, stomped her foot in annoyance and said angrily, "Young Master Zhao is the bane of our marriage. Since he showed up, my relationship with the Old Master has grown increasingly strained."
The maid beside her comforted her, saying, "Young Master Zhao has just left; it’s inevitable the Heavenly Master feels down. Madam, don’t worry. He’ll co around after a few days."
"Alas, nothing can be done, just have to accept it that way!" Lady Zhang sighed resignedly, then reached out to touch her cheek, saying worriedly, "So much has happened lately, haven’t even had ti for beauty rituals. Ah! How haggard have I beco?"
"Madam is naturally beautiful; even without beauty rituals, you’re still so attractive."
"Flattery."
"I an it sincerely, Madam, you’re the epito of beauty."
"Enough with the flattery, go pick so petals in the garden for my beauty ritual."
"Yes, madam," the maid agreed and turned to leave.
