Can she not be clever? Xuexue was tossed about by him several tis, and when she got up in the morning, she was limping. Zi Xia laughed at her so many tis. It was quite a painful experience, to say the least. If she didn’t learn, then she really was hopelessly foolish.
Xuexue smiled brightly: "Hehe...! Thank you for the praise, Prince."
Long Rui: "My wife is so obedient. I’ve decided to reward you well tonight."
"Ah? No need, right?" Xuexue’s smiling face suddenly fell. How is that different from punishnt? She didn’t want Zi Xia laughing at her again tomorrow morning.
Long Rui laughed heartily, feeling extrely proud: "My wife is so well-behaved, a reward is deserved. I won’t be stingy."
Xuexue pouted, playfully annoyed: "No."
It was at this mont that the steward rushed in anxiously, panting, and said: "Reporting to the Prince and Princess Consort, out... outside, there’s a... a...."
As he spoke, the steward gestured wildly, not knowing how to describe it. He looked very anxious, yet clueless, appearing sowhat comical.
Long Rui was a bit displeased. He was just getting cozy with his wife, so why did this wretched steward co in? He better give a good reason, or see how he’d deal with him.
"Hesitating like that, what are you trying to say?" Long Rui’s eyes glared sharply at the steward from beneath his mask.
In his anxiety, the steward blurted out: "There’s a stick outside the door."
Long Rui and Xuexue looked at each other, neither understanding what the steward was saying. What do you an there’s a stick? How baffling. Can a stick walk? Ridiculous.
Xuexue frowned: "What do you an a stick ca? Steward, what are you talking about?"
Long Rui glared at him fiercely, saying: "What nonsense is this? Spit it out properly. Do you not want to be the steward anymore?"
The steward was sweating profusely out of concern. It wasn’t his intention! But the person outside looked like that, he really didn’t know how to describe it.
"Prince, Princess Consort, there’s a weirdo outside with no hands or feet. He’s jumping around at the gate, shouting to see you." Finally, the steward managed to finish speaking, almost crying out of relief at his cleverness. Being a steward was truly not easy.
Long Rui and Xuexue exchanged looks. A person without hands or feet? Isn’t that a weirdo? What is he here for?
Long Rui: "Let him in."
The steward remained standing, looking conflicted.
Long Rui: "What’s the matter?"
The steward pulled a long face, saying: "Prince, it’d be best if you went outside. I’m afraid I’m not capable of inviting him in."
What did the Weirdo do?
Long Rui and Xuexue walked with bewildered expressions to the main gate.
The gate was surrounded by a dense crowd of people, blocking the entire street, creating quite a spectacle.
Everyone was looking up, unsure what they were observing.
"Prince, you’ve finally co out. Hurry and take a look. Today, a weirdo is causing a ruckus at the gate, loudly claiming he wants to see the Prince." As soon as the guard by the door saw Long Rui co out, he imdiately raised his arm and pointed to the rooftop...
The Weirdo was on the rooftop, proudly flipping sorsaults.
Everyone was dumbfounded.
They’d never seen a person without hands or feet so agile, able to do sorsaults.
Xuexue finally understood why the townsfolk were looking up at the roof; the Weirdo was up there.
"Senior, isn’t it hot in this weather up there? Please co down, co inside for a cup of tea to cool down!" Xuexue shouted upwards, tilting her head back.
"No tea, no tea, Master isn’t here for tea; he’s here to find soone." The Weirdo shouted down from the rooftop, not afraid of drawing attention.
Xuexue was montarily stunned; she’d heard the Weirdo say over and over he was looking for soone, but didn’t know who he was looking for.
Xuexue: "Senior, who are you looking for? Can you describe him? Maybe we can help you find him."
The Weirdo, dissatisfied, shouted even louder: "Didn’t I tell you? An old rascal, a sleazy old man."
