The only downside was that there was a brothel next door, which Madam Xie found really distasteful.
Back in Mo Family Village, Mo Xiaoqiang would often leave her and her daughter behind to fool around at the brothel, making them suffer greatly within the Mo family.
“Chuner, you need to behave, okay?”
Xuexue reached out to rub her head, smiling softly as she spoke.
“Behave, of course I behave!” At the end, she spoke with the cunning of soone beyond her years, “Everything here is nice! It’s just that I have no one to play with! Sigh! I’ve even started to miss Xiao Gougou.”
“What’s wrong? Are you missing ho, Chuner?”
“No, it’s just boring without playmates.”
As they spoke, they walked into the courtyard, and the servants behind them closed the gate.
Madam Xie ca out upon hearing noises, overjoyed to see Xuexue: “Oh! Xuexue, you’ve co? Your mother missed you a lot.”
Because Xuexue had many matters to deal with, it had been several days since her last visit here.

That aside, even the folks from the Mo family have gathered at the General’s Mansion. Thinking of this, Xuexue had a splitting headache.
Xuexue raised her face, smiling: “Mother, Chuner has been complaining of boredom! You should take her out more often, to walk around and see the world.”
“Going shopping every day gets tireso.” Madam Xie expressed her dislike for shopping – not only does it cost silver, but it also tires one out quite a bit.
Chuner pouted from the side, her lips pursed high: “Mother just doesn’t want to et strangers.”
Xuexue looked around and not seeing Mo Xiaoqiang, asked curiously, “Mother, where’s my foster father?”
“Him? He’s inside, sleeping!” Madam Xie’s face darkened at the ntion of Mo Xiaoqiang.
“Sleeping at this hour?” It was almost noon, and it was surprising that Mo Xiaoqiang was still sleeping.
Madam Xie lowered her head hesitating before whispering softly, “Last night, he went out sowhere and didn’t return until nearly dawn. Now, he’s catching up on sleep!”
Xuexue’s heart skipped a beat, blaming herself for having arranged for Madam Xie to live in this house.
Why would Xuexue think this way?
Because the brothel is close by, and Mo Xiaoqiang is known to be lecherous. Back in Mo Family Village, his frequent visits to the brothel were infamous.
“Mother, don’t worry. I will ask him later, and if he really did sothing to let you down, I won’t let him off easily,” Xuexue assured her.
“Hmm! I’m just afraid that though it’s easy to change a state, it’s hard to change one’s nature.” Madam Xie revealed her deep worries, having just let go of her past worries to start accepting Mo Xiaoqiang again, when this happened.
Because the brothel was so close by, Madam Xie couldn’t help but worry.
Xuexue: “Chuner, go quickly and wake your father. Tell him I have sothing to discuss with him.”
“Eh! Okay!”
Chuner turned and bounced off towards Mo Xiaoqiang’s room, extrely excited – damn it, it was always the father waking her up, but now the roles were reversed, a chance to get even at last.
In the room.
Chuner burst in with no reservations: “Daddy, daddy, get up! Sister is calling for you!”
“What does she want?” Xuexue, that damn girl, is getting more and more formidable. I better find out what’s going on first before I go; otherwise, she’ll scold for nothing again, Mo Xiaoqiang thought, buried under the covers on his bed.
