River dam, rural tourism.
It’s already early winter, in the large open space east of the bungalow, a bonfire burns, flas flickering in the dark.
Chairs were placed around the bonfire, five or six young n and won sat here, their faces lit unsettlingly by the firelight. Not far away, a grill was set up, the chef’s hands flipping skewers, busy grilling at.
Xue Yuantong and Chuchu stayed at the doorstep, scattered laughter occasionally coming from the distance. She was holding a flip-style new3ds ga console, playing Fire Emblem: Awakening.
This ga is a strategy chess ga, quite fun to play, but not interesting to watch, and the 3ds’s trashy screen isn’t suitable for viewing.
Xue Chuchu was beside her, holding Jiang Ning’s iPad, watching a docuntary quietly.
"Chuchu, do you sll the fragrance?" Xue Yuantong suddenly asked, the aroma from the neighboring rural tourism drifted over to them.
"Weren’t you full?" Xue Chuchu countered.
Xue Yuantong grumbled, "I was just asking."
After a while, she sniffed and, judging by the aroma, said, "Do you know what they’re grilling today? It doesn’t seem like lamb skewers."
Xue Chuchu recalled, "Uncle Yang seed to ntion at noon that they were grilling bamboo rat?"
Xue Yuantong frowned, "Ah, can you eat bamboo rat?"
Big rats, how terrifying!
Born in the countryside, Xue Yuantong knew all too well what rats looked like. Wild rats are particularly ugly and full of bacteria. Once bitten, you have to get a week’s worth of rabies shots.

"I’ll make a trip." Bi Yue said.
Group Leader Jian leaned back in his chair, watching Bi Yue’s departing figure, his eyes slightly lifting.

Bi Yue walked gracefully to the east of the bungalow, looking down at the two girls.
Xue Yuantong was eating barbecue. After Uncle Yang left, knowing they were unwilling to go, he brought over skewers again.
