"Grandpa, Grandpa! What’s wrong!" Tang Fu exclaid anxiously.

Upon hearing his granddaughter’s report of the big fish being caught by Jiang Ning, Tang Yaohan was hit with a double blow and suddenly blacked out, lying straight down despite being halfway up.

Tang Fu was startled and quickly poured the dicine.

Tang Yaohan eventually ca around, extrely bitter at heart; the fish that was within reach escaped, and was even caught by a country lad.

Unbelievable, he had struggled half his life to provide his granddaughter with good conditions, only for her to choose such a man?

Tang Yaohan was burning with anger, his gaze at his granddaughter was filled with "angry at her for not striving!"

Tang Fu was unaware of the situation; she hadn’t thought that way at all. Silly Tang Fu simply felt that she and Jiang Ning had climbed mountains together and overco malicious intentions from an aunt, forming a bond.

Such a friendship indeed ans she had to treat Jiang Ning as a good buddy, thus not being concerned with minor issues nor worried about her words and actions.

Had there been an opportunity today, she could even have shown her grandfather her shoulder-bumping scene with Jiang Ning.

After all, Tang Fu was 1.8 ters tall, so shoulder-bumping was nothing to her.

Tang Yaohan was unaware of his granddaughter’s thoughts; he was now so angry his liver hurt.

...

Outside the tent.

Xue Yuantong grabbed the hook fishing device, the handle wrapped in yarn for better grip, and with effort, she lifted the big bluefish.

The nearly ter-long big bluefish was visually stunning, covered with blue-black scales that shimred with a faint glow, presenting an incredibly streamlined shape from its large head to its tail fin.

Plus, under the contrast of the petite Xue Yuantong, it appeared even more majestic, sparking endless chatter among surrounding citizens.

A bluefish of such size, weighing about 25 pounds, was raised by Xue Yuantong with difficulty, and then she carried the big bluefish towards the distant ice.

Jiang Ning followed alongside her, moving out of the crowd.

He reminded: "Tongtong, you’re going the wrong way, our tent is to the west."

Xue Yuantong said casually: "The earth is round, I’ll get there eventually, won’t I?"

She struggled to haul the big bluefish, attracting astonished voices wherever she went as the fish was so large, nearly a ter long—many people hadn’t seen such a huge fish in their lives.

A fishing man approached and asked: "Brother, is this your catch?"

Jiang Ning smiled: "Yeah, pretty lucky."

"Tsk tsk." The fishing man took out his phone to snap a photo, ready to show off on social dia.

Wandering along, they encountered several citizens who ca to inquire, all uniformly questioning Jiang Ning, amazed by his skill.

To which Xue Yuantong was not entirely happy; clearly, she was the one carrying the fish, yet everyone overlooked her?

Xue Yuantong whispered quietly: "Jiang Ning, haven’t you walked far? Aren’t you tired?"

Jiang Ning imdiately understood: "I am kinda tired, let take a rest."

Xue Yuantong alone led the big bluefish far ahead.

Jiang Ning casually found a tent for cover, reached for his phone, and upon opening WeChat, Shen Qing’e’s ssage popped up.

"Uncle says you’ll return to Yuzhou in a few days, he plans to drive us ho, care to join?"

Looking at this ssage, Jiang Ning couldn’t help recall past tis; around the new year was when Uncle’s restaurant was busiest, naturally unable to spare ti, not to ntion Aunt would similarly insist he simply take a bus ho.

But now, Jiang Ning’s value was too high, Aunt was certainly eager to have Uncle drive him ho to enhance ties with relatives.

Jiang Ning: "I’ll think about it."

He thought for five minutes.

Shen Qing’e couldn’t bear him taking so long to reply, especially as she eagerly awaited his ssages.

Apart from this, seeing Chen Siyu’s social dia post featuring Jiang Ning left no doubt he was playing with them.

Fishing too... Considering fishing brought her back to the start of the year when she and Jiang Junlong invited Jiang Ning for fishing at a small waterfall, returning with Xue Yuantong’s tomato fish fillet dish—a flavor unforgettable to her.

Shen Qing’e didn’t understand: ’Was that day not joyful? Was hanging out with Jiang Ning not fun? Why didn’t he seek again afterward?’

While they fished together, Xue Yuantong cooked, and she played with Jiang Ning—wasn’t that blissful?

Shen Qing’e was extrely lancholic, recalling Lu Qiqi’s words: ’When a man lacks a sense of security, you’re the safest of all.’

Shen Qing’e took a deep breath and launched her offensive: "What are you pondering?"

"If you won’t let Uncle drive, I’ll go ho with a boy I recently t; he’s from Guyang County and quite nice."

Jiang Ning stared at the ssage line, his brow furrowed, typing: "I’m contemplating how to turn you down."

After replying, he turned off the screen and put the phone back in his pocket.

At this mont, Tongtong was tirelessly dragging the big bluefish, leading it to a tent.

She unexpectedly saw her gaming buddy—Shang Caiwei.

Weiwei donned a white down coat, scarf and hat, wrapped tightly, sitting beside a young man.

Shang Zhengyu, upon learning ice access was possible, took his sister out to unwind.

He brought plenty of gear, spending almost two hours on the ice, yet no luck.

Now, Shang Zhengyu confessed he was unlucky; after all, many fishern struggled at comrcial fish ponds, known as "black pits," catching nothing.

So, him "air-force" fishing in vast rivers didn’t seem so hard to accept.

Finding an excuse, he cautiously stated: "Weiwei, these years many net and electric fish in Hui River, leaving fish resources depleted, quite a normal occurrence."
