Uncle Qi Lin flipped his palm and threw over a small cloth bag, "Inside are twenty taels of silver, to fund this operation."

"I've also prepared a person for you," Uncle Qi Lin clapped his hands.

Imdiately, a baby-faced young man in black, with a sword at his waist, appeared at the door.

"This is Hidden Guard, Little Bao, I've transferred him over here, you can assign him tasks as you please during this ti," Uncle Qi Lin said. When he looked at Little Bao, his face showed no expression, far less affectionate than when he looked at Wang Longlong.

Wang Longlong knew the reason; because guards like Little Bao, despite their impressive-sounding title, were actually at the very bottom of the Qi Family's hierarchy, nowhere near his status as a Shadow Guard.

Uncle Qi Lin gave more instructions, and before leaving, he urged Wang Longlong again and again, telling him to ensure that the handwriting in the small booklet was neat, as it was ant for the higher-ups to read.

Uncle Qi Lin didn't specify who, but the tone of his voice made the importance clear.

Then, in the room, only Wang Longlong and the Hidden Guard nad Little Bao were left.

Little Bao looked sowhat uneasy.

Wang Longlong said nothing; he was recalling Uncle Qi Lin's instructions, which were to seek out news about the Han Family.

Facing his first task, Wang Longlong was quite earnest. He combined the original inhabitant's knowledge of Nanan City and the Han Family and quickly ca up with a plan.

He wanted to establish an organization to gather intelligence. When many put their wood together, the flas rise high. If he controlled this organization, obtaining information on the Han Family would surely beco easier.

Wang Longlong called Little Bao over and looked at him. This baby-faced youth was probably a year or two older than him, but now, he was at his command.

Wang Longlong could not help but feel quite thrilled; although he hadn't beco a class monitor, here he possessed the long-coveted power.

"Go to Shuangliu Street, right now, find so people; I'll tell you who to look for," Wang Longlong instructed Little Bao on the crowd to find.

After giving instructions, he reached into the silver pouch given by Uncle Qi Lin and pulled out a piece of silver.

"Offer them a little incentive, not too much. Co find before dawn," Wang Longlong ordered.

He gave Little Bao one tael of silver. One tael of silver had quite considerable purchasing power, almost equivalent to one thousand yuan in the real world.

"Sir, I understand," Little Bao replied respectfully.

Wang Longlong waved his sleeve, "You may leave."

Little Bao bowed with his fists held, bowed deeply, and before leaving, he also closed the door.

Wang Longlong was quite satisfied; he sat back on the bed's edge, perusing the information in his mind.

This world was extrely peculiar, with no grand unified feudal dynasty. Warlords carved out their territories: noble families, sects, tribes, and gangs fought each other in endless chaos.

Bandits road the wilderness, there were major disasters and black fog catastrophes, the people suffered, longing for a peaceful and prosperous era.

As Wang Longlong read more, he beca increasingly astonished. Unable to sleep at all, he read on until the roosters began to crow and dogs howled outside. He shuddered, realizing the world could be sumd up in two words: dark!

Wang Longlong could not co back to his senses for a long ti.

"Sir! Sir!"

Little Bao's voice ca from outside the door.

Wang Longlong straightened his clothes and said solemnly, "Co in."

Little Bao hurried in, "Sir, I've completed the task you assigned. They're all waiting for you."

Wang Longlong nodded internally, impressed with Little Bao's capability; he was useful material.

He stood up and said, "Lead the way."

The two left the residence together.

Shuangliu Street, a dilapidated Taoist temple.

A hole was torn in the roof, letting the cold wind pour in, blowing against the broken stone statues.

A group of ragged beggars clustered together, about twenty in number, shivering for warmth.

Their eyes were fixed on the large iron pot burning inside the temple, with the aroma of at wafting out, causing the beggars to swallow their saliva continuously, but the sight of the knife-wielding n deterred them from making any rash moves.

A sharp-nosed beggar scratched his arm and whispered, "Big brother, what are they cooking inside? It slls so good."

The beggar holding a wooden stick replied, "Big bones with large chunks of at, it lifts the spirit when you gnaw on it."

"It slls even better than the black dog at we had the other day!" the sharp-nosed beggar tugged at his trouser leg.

"Big brother, they are important people from the Qi Family; what do they want with us?" he also rubbed the hair on his head.

"Who cares what they want, as long as they give at to eat," the stick-wielding beggar said indifferently.

The beggars harbored their own thoughts as suddenly, a lantern appeared outside the Taoist temple, with two people walking in.

The visitors were not particularly tall but very young. One of them, a slightly plump youth, moved with an extraordinary air.

Wang Longlong stopped in front of the group of beggars. He let his mind wander, imagining himself as the class monitor, which lent him an even more convincing presence. He used his commanding gaze to suppress the group of beggars.

"Little Bao, serve the at!" Wang Longlong commanded.

The black-clad Little Bao imdiately picked up a large ladle and his sparkling long sword at his waist.

Little Bao scooped up at with a spoon in his right hand while wielding a long knife threateningly in his left.

"Nobody snatch, or I'll chop you all up!" Little Bao said coldly.

He scooped up a piece of at and distributed it to the beggars, "Co up here to get it."

Despite Little Bao's forceful tone, the chance to get at made the beggars instantly see him as a dear father, all coming up with smiles.

Soon, the sound of chewing at and the laughter of beggars filled the Taoist temple.

The air beca more lively.

Wang Longlong silently watched them finish eating; then, he stepped in front of the stone statue, turned around, faced away from the crowd, stood with his hands behind his back, and left a dashing silhouette alone.

"Do you all still want to eat at?" His voice was low and resonant.

The sharp-nosed beggar was the first to respond, "My lord, as long as we can eat at, we'll do whatever you ask of us!"

The other beggars started calling out, expressing their loyalty, all with similar sentints.

Wang Longlong nodded in satisfaction, "I'm here to do three things for you."

"Eat till you're full, drink till you're satisfied, and wear warm clothing!"

The beggars exclaid, "What a great benefactor!"

"A reborn saint!"

Wang Longlong was even more pleased, but he continued, "However,"

"There's a condition: You must join my organization."

The sharp-nosed beggar asked, "My lord, is it a gang?"

Wang Longlong stroked his chin; this had always been his plan, but reality had kept it from happening.

Now, at last, he could start his organization with the task assigned by Uncle Qi Lin, gathering intelligence all around, and expanding the organization in the future to fulfill his grand ambitions!

"It's kind of like a gang," he said lightly.

"Are you willing to join?"

Naturally, the beggars would not object; as long as they could eat at and stay warm, they would even sell themselves.

Imdiately, there were voices of assent.

The sharp-nosed beggar asked again, "My lord, what is the na of our gang?

You know, there are many gangs in Nanan City, such as the Black Tiger Gang, Quicksand Sect."

Wang Longlong naturally had a plan; he announced the na he had prepared:

"Just call it Dragon Team."

"From now on, you are people of Dragon Team."

Upon hearing this, the beggars instantly found the na simple and domineering, exuding an air of Eastern mystique, and they all cheered in unison.

Another beggar said, "Boss, how should we address you?"

Wang Longlong was montarily taken aback, as he had not considered this.

Seeing no one else answer, the sharp-nosed beggar's eyes twinkled, and he suddenly shouted,

"Since our gang is called Dragon Team, then our boss should naturally be the Dragon King!"

The beggars felt his reasoning was sound.

At that mont, the eastern sun rose, sweeping the world with golden light; the endless brilliance crossed the roof of the Taoist temple, streaming obliquely through the broken tiles, and finally rested on Wang Longlong.

In that instant, Wang Longlong's silhouette shone brightly in the darkness, as if the only light between heaven and earth.

The sharp-nosed beggar, gazing at the scene before him that seed divine, widened his eyes. Suddenly, he shuddered, ca to his senses, and called out loudly:

"We et the Dragon King!"

The beggars instantly ca to their senses and, like believers, knelt and bowed their heads, crying out in unison,

"Greetings to the Dragon King!"

"Welco back, Dragon King!"

The clamorous voices echoed through the Taoist temple, persisting for a long ti.

Wang Longlong suddenly cracked a smile. Rembering all the grievances suffered in the real world, a voice seed to shout in his heart:

'Do you see it? Do you see my glory?'

'I am the Dragon King!'

From now on, he would no longer hide in the shadows!
