Chapter 272: Chapter 231 Thunderous Chapter 272: Chapter 231 Thunderous Cui Yu, eager to show off in front of the girls, accidentally fell into the river in a critical situation.

This commotion drew the attention of nearby students.

People always love a spectacle, especially when there’s not much else to entertain them in this lousy park. Bored out of their minds, they saw the commotion as a welco distraction and promptly gathered around.

So students even ran towards the scene to catch a glimpse of the action as soon as possible.

Their running drew even more students’ attention, causing a larger crowd to rush over as if they were racing ships.

Shi Qianjin from Class 9, along with Shen Xu and Shen Xinli, sprinted towards the area.

ng Gui, who was on the bridge, shouted loudly,

“It’s my turn to perform a river rescue!”

He had once had a feud with Cui Yu, but after moving on and watching a movie together, they had long since buried the hatchet.

Now that the man was in danger, how could he stand by idly and not save a life?

Enlightener ng Gui, taking the stage!

He took off his jacket, tossed it with a flamboyant flair, and the jacket “whooshed” flying away.

The throw was a bit too strong, flying over the bridge and into the river on the other side.

Jiang Yanan, who was nearby, was stunned. Was all that really necessary?

Wang Longlong called out, “Brother Gui, your coat.”

ng Gui replied, “A man can live without his head or bleed to death, but what is a re coat in comparison?”

He had taken off his coat and was now fumbling with the buttons on his waistcoat, which were traditionally knotted and quite cumberso to undo; furthermore, his hands were shaking with urgency, making him even slower.

“Save , save , I’m going to die!”

“Quick, save !”

Cui Yu thrashed about in the river, his strong will to survive endowing him with astonishing potential as he desperately paddled for life.

The clear river water churned turbid from his struggle, scaring fish into a frantic escape.

Wang Longlong was anxious; he couldn’t swim!

“Brother Ma, Brother Ma!” he looked to their linchpin, Ma Shicheng.

Dan Kaiquan and Guo Kunnan looked on as Ma Shicheng, who had impressed everyone with his past performance, was hoped upon to create a miracle.

Ma Shicheng said, “I can only do the doggy paddle.”

“I can’t save anyone.”

He was still rational; despite his anxiety, he knew his swimming skills were insufficient.

“Where’s Brother Ning? Brother Ning?” Ma Shicheng looked towards the woods.

Xue Yuantong was sharing QQ candies with Jiang Ning, which were sour and sweet, a delight to the taste.

She couldn’t imagine anything that tasted better than QQ candy!

Xue Yuantong was easily pleased; her life was anything but delicate. Whether past or present, she seed to never ask for more. A little snack could keep her happy for a long ti, which Jiang Ning liked about her.

“Jiang Ning, sothing seems to have happened over there,” she said.

They were a bit too far to see clearly what was happening by the bridge.

There were a few students from Experintal Class 1 nearby, such as Fourth Middle School’s hired high school entrance exam ace weapon, “Experintal Class 1’s Du Chuan.”

Unfortunately, with Xue Yuantong and Jiang Ning present, Du Chuan could only rank third. He tried very hard, even solving math problems with a pen while walking.

Beside him were Lin Zida from Class 1.

As well as Wei Xiu Yuan, the Class 1 Welfare Officer, and the son of the owner of Yucai Supermarket, tall and handso.

He was currently pursuing Xiao i, the little beauty from his class, having set a target index for himself. He cleverly determined that his pursuit was at 99%, just 1% short of a breakthrough.

At this mont, the commotion on the bridge drew the three guys’ attention, craning their necks to see.

Jiang Ning remained leaning against the tree; he didn’t need to look with his eyes, as Divine Sense swept through, making everything that was happening crystal clear.

After getting the details, Jiang Ning remained calm, finishing his last sip of mineral water.

He screwed the cap back on and, holding the plastic bottle, twisted it tightly, continuously twisting it even tighter. Under this massive force, the bottle deford, emitting a “crackling” friction noise.

Lin Zida and the others heard this and looked towards him.

Without asking, they knew what Jiang Ning wanted to do—it was a ga Lin Zida had played before.

Air inside the bottle was compressed to a certain extent, looking for a release and causing the cap to shoot off from the pressure.

Jiang Ning aid at a garbage can ten ters away and twisted a little more; a “bang!” sounded as the cap was launched.

Only the direction was slightly off.

Lin Zida comnted, “It’s skewed.”

Wei Xiu Yuan felt the sa way. Boys understand boys; he knew what Jiang Ning was trying to do—simply to show off, right?

Too bad, it was poorly executed.

A smile spread across his face, a hint of superiority as if he had seen through soone’s bluff.

However, when Jiang Ning casually tossed the bottle, its twisted shape turned into a spiral, instantly slicing through the air and, astonishingly, moving faster than the already launched cap!

The latter flying first but hit by the earlier, which corrected its path and carried it straight into the trash can.

Jiang Ning stood up and smiled, “It’s not skewed.”

“Holy shit!”

“Is that even possible?”

Lin Zida was astounded; he had never thought soone could execute such a maneuver. The compounded difficulty of both actions would be impossible without many years of practice.

Wei Xiu Yuan’s smile froze, stunned. Jiang Ning had actually succeeded in his showmanship.

He had wanted to say, “All fluff and no substance.”

But when he rembered that Jiang Ning was ranked second in the whole grade, he lost his nerve.

“Wow, Jiang Ning, you’re so amazing!”

Xue Yuantong clapped her hands joyfully.

For her, the stronger Jiang Ning was, the happier she was, like playing a role-playing ga where she’s nurturing a character.

Seeing Jiang Ning’s successful act followed by Xue Yuantong’s encouragent—despite her academic excellence and being just a little kid—Wei Xiu Yuan was still displeased. He had planned to bond with Dong Jiayi during today’s outing, which was perfect for fostering a relationship.
