Chapter 610: Chapter 385: Unstoppable Tears
Wednesday.
During the morning self-study session, the classroom was filled with the resonant sound of students reading, and the hallway outside echoed with a similar chorus.
It turned out that the horoom teacher of class 9, Mr. Gao Heshuai, had once again made the students of his class recite texts in the hallway.
Chen Siyu wondered, “Isn’t he a math teacher? Why is he making them recite literature?”
Bai Yuxia recalled, “I rember after one exam, he got drunk and even discussed the literature paper.”
Upon recalling that particular class, Chen Siyu couldn’t help but comnt, “Mr. Gao is quite talented.”
However, his personality was just too extre, and his thods overly harsh; once, when she was distracted during class and answered a question incorrectly, Mr. Gao Heshuai made her stand by her desk for half the class.
The reason she ended up standing only half the class was that Xue Yuantong heroically stepped in halfway through to help her, informing Mr. Gao Heshuai that Chen Siyu was blocking her view of the blackboard.
As a result, Chen Siyu was moved to the back of the room to stand for the rest of the class.
From then on, Chen Siyu never dared to lose focus.
Today, Xue Yuantong was listless; she rested her head on the desk, hands covering her face as she yawned, tears forming in her teary eyes.
Xue Yuantong forcibly used her will to control her tears to prevent them from falling, which made her eyes appear even more watery.
Jiang Ning mocked, “You’re such a scaredy-cat, yet you just had to watch a horror film.”
Last night, after Xue Yuantong got ho, she dragged Jiang Ning to watch a movie.
Insisting on watching it on the computer because, she claid, the large screen was more thrilling.
Despite Jiang Ning’s persuasion, it was to no avail and instead, she was belittled; unafraid of anything.
After watching the horror film, she was terrified and couldn’t sleep until 3 a.m.
Seeing his dismissive look, Xue Yuantong retorted defiantly:
“Watch, just watch, just watch!”
While she spoke, she pulled at her cheeks, and tears gushed out, streaming down her smooth, fair face.
Chen Siyu turned around, surprised, “Jiang Ning, how did you make Tongtong cry?”
How could Xue Yuantong endure such great humiliation? She imdiately pouted and frowned, trying hard to clarify:
“The tears are from yawning, from yawning!”
Chen Siyu responded, “Oh~”
With five minutes left until the end of the morning self-study session, the sound of reading had considerably faded, and so students stared at the clock above the blackboard, waiting for class to end.
Seeing this, the class leader, Huang Zhongfei, stood up and walked onto the podium.
As soon as he appeared, the students imdiately quieted down, knowing he must have an announcent.
Huang Zhongfei stated, “Registration for the small dining tables in the cafeteria ended yesterday; the school has arranged things quickly, so everyone rember to go to the cafeteria for breakfast tomorrow morning.”
His words created ripples like a stone thrown into water.
Guo Kunnan shouted, “Class leader, when will the small dining table list be announced?”
Cui Yu stated, “I’m concerned about this.”
Yu Wen softly and sweetly inquired, “Class leader, you surely know, right?”
Huang Zhongfei announced, “It’s said that the student list for each table will be released tonight; rest assured, I’ll notify you the mont the list is available.”
Led by Yu Wen, everyone called out, “Thank you, class leader, for your hard work.”
Seeing her eager deanor, Cui Yu inwardly cursed, “More gleeful than when seeing your dad.”
…
Second period in the morning.
Math class with Mr. Gao Heshuai; he strode into the room, textbook in hand.
First, he revealed his signature sinister smile and scanned all the students.
At the back of the room, Wu Xiaoqi clutched a basketball and whispered, “Seeing his smile just pisses off!”
Miao Zhe didn’t make a statent but turned his math textbook to the page for today’s lesson; he had prepared in advance.
Although Miao Zhe was situated at the back, he remained committed to studying without succumbing to distractions.
During Mr. Gao Heshuai’s routine inspection, he noticed Xue Yuantong was sleeping; his eyelids twitched. If it weren’t for her being the top student in the city and admonitions from figures like Shan Qingrong, Director Yan, and the principal, he would absolutely have made her stand at the back of the classroom to listen to the lesson.
Mr. Gao Heshuai loudly cleared his throat, “Ahem, today we will continue discussing trigonotric identity transformations; turn to the section we discussed last ti.”
This content was complicated, and Mr. Gao Heshuai did his best to explain it simply, yet many students still had difficulty grasping it.
Several others seed lost in their own thoughts.
“Wu Xiaoqi, go stand at the back,” Mr. Gao Heshuai barked.
Just then, while savoring his tea, Wu Xiaoqi leisurely picked up his tall glass and strolled to the back row.
Wang Longlong remarked, “Elegant, never out of style.”
After Mr. Gao Heshuai lectured for ten minutes, he caught a distracted student and pounced:
“Wang Yan Yan, answer the question.” Wang Yan Yan’s performance was the worst in class 8; she couldn’t answer and had to stand to listen.
Cui Yu looked at Wang Yanyan, feeling displeased. An idea ford instantly, and he raised his hand:
“Mr. Gao, Wang Yanyan is blocking my view of the blackboard.”
Then, Wang Yanyan was sent to stand at the back of the classroom.
She wished she could kill him.
Cui Yu inwardly laughed, ‘That’s for ssing with .’
Before he could enjoy the mont, he heard Mr. Gao Heshuai say, “Cui Yu, answer this question.”
Cui Yu responded quickly, taking the opportunity to lash out:
“Just now, Wang Yanyan blocked ; it affected my listening.”
Mr. Gao Heshuai sneered, “Alright, then I’ll explain it to you again.”
Within a minute, Cui Yu joined Wang Yanyan at the back, becoming a pair of miserable partners.
The whole class could hardly contain their laughter; it was just too funny. What was usually a dull classroom suddenly ca to life.
The students were amused, but Mr. Gao Heshuai was not; his face darkened as he mocked again:
“What are you laughing at, huh?”
He started a barrage of taunts: “Do you know that your class is the worst I have ever taught!”
The classroom fell silent.
Wu Xiaoqi scoffed, “Teacher, you can only teach the worst class; aren’t you ashad?”
Mr. Gao Heshuai was stunned; the students struggled to keep in their laughter.
He bellowed, “You scum, get out! Get out!!”
The class next door, class 9, could hear his roar.
After finishing the Assam milk tea in his tall glass, Wu Xiaoqi left, basketball in tow, to have his own physical education class.
